Man, what a day! I swear, Terbanggi-Besar really knows how to throw a curveball. I woke up thinking it’d be just another chill day installing radio gear. Boy, was I wrong! First off, I hit the road on Jl. Raya Terbanggi-Besar, right? Traffic was a nightmare. Like, seriously, who taught these drivers how to drive? I mean, come on! I almost lost my mind. I was stuck behind this old dude in a rusty motorbike. He was going 20 km/h in a 60 zone! I was like, “Dude, it’s not a Sunday stroll!” Finally, I get to this client’s place on Jl. Pahlawan. Nice house, but the guy? Total weirdo. He wanted me to install this fancy radio system, but he kept talking about aliens. I’m not even kidding! He was like, “Do you think they listen to our radio?” I just smiled and nodded. Inside, I was like, “Bro, focus on the sound, not the UFOs!” So, I start setting up the gear. Everything’s going smooth until I realize I forgot my toolkit. Ugh! I had to run back to my van parked near Jl. Lintas Sumatera. I swear, I was sprinting like I was in a marathon. I could feel the sweat pouring down my back. When I finally got back, the guy was still rambling about how he once saw a UFO over the Terbanggi-Besar market. I just wanted to get the job done. I mean, who cares about aliens when you can jam to some sick beats, right? After a while, I finally got the system up and running. The sound was crisp, and I felt like a rockstar. But then, the dude wanted to test it with his “favorite” song. It was some weird techno remix of a traditional Indonesian song. I was like, “Dude, really?” But hey, it’s his house, his rules. Then, outta nowhere, the power goes out! I’m standing there in the dark, and I’m like, “Are you kidding me?” I thought I’d have to call it a day. But then, I remembered the backup generator. Thank goodness! I flipped the switch, and boom! Lights back on. The guy was so happy, he started dancing. I couldn’t help but laugh. After that, I packed up my stuff and headed out. I took a stroll down Jl. Jendral Sudirman. The street was buzzing with life. Food stalls everywhere! I couldn’t resist grabbing some nasi goreng. Best decision ever! That stuff was fire! But then, I saw this street performer. He was playing the angklung, and it was beautiful. I stopped to listen, and for a moment, all the craziness of the day faded away. Just me, the music, and the vibe of Terbanggi-Besar. As I walked back to my van, I thought about how wild the day was. From alien talk to power outages, it was a rollercoaster. But that’s Terbanggi-Besar for ya! Always full of surprises. I finally got home, exhausted but happy. I plopped on the couch, thinking, “What a day!” Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings. But for now, I’m just gonna chill and enjoy some good tunes. Peace out!
