Man, what a day! Seriously, Tual is wild. I woke up thinking it’d be just another boring day, but nah, the universe had other plans. So, I’m rollin’ outta bed, right? The sun’s barely up, and I’m already late for my shift at the operator station on Jalan Raya. I grab my coffee—thank God for that liquid gold—and head out. The streets are buzzing, like always. Tual never sleeps, I swear. I hit Jalan Pahlawan, and it’s packed. Like, where are all these people going at 7 AM? I’m dodging scooters left and right. One almost took me out! I’m like, “Dude, chill! It’s not a race!” But they just zoom past, no care in the world. Finally, I get to the station, and it’s chaos. Phones ringing off the hook. I’m talkin’ like a hundred calls at once. I’m tryin’ to keep my cool, but inside, I’m like a pressure cooker ready to blow. “Operator, how can I help you?” I say, but it’s more like a scream at this point. Then, this one guy calls in. He’s lost. I mean, really lost. He’s on Jalan Merdeka, but he thinks he’s on Jalan Sudirman. I’m like, “Bro, you’re in the wrong part of town!” But he’s convinced he’s right. I’m tryin’ to explain, but he’s just not gettin’ it. I’m about to lose it. After that, I get a call from a lady who’s freaking out because her cat is stuck in a tree. I’m like, “Lady, it’s a cat, not a lion!” But she’s crying, and I can’t help but feel for her. So, I send someone to help. I mean, Tual’s got its priorities, right? Lunchtime rolls around, and I’m starving. I hit up this little warung on Jalan Diponegoro. Best nasi goreng ever! I’m chowing down, and this street performer starts playing some sick tunes. I’m vibin’ hard, just forgettin’ about the craziness of the day. But then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring. Like, monsoon-level rain. I’m stuck there, drenched, and my food’s getting soggy. I’m laughing at the absurdity of it all. Tual weather is no joke! After lunch, I head back to the station, and it’s even crazier. A power outage hits! I’m like, “Seriously?!” I’m tryin’ to keep things running on backup, but it’s a mess. People are losing their minds. I’m just here, trying to keep my sanity. Then, this dude walks in, covered in mud. Turns out he was trying to cross the river near Jalan Ciliwung, and it didn’t go well. He’s telling me this wild story about how he slipped and fell. I can’t help but laugh. “Dude, you’re a mess!” Finally, the day winds down. I’m exhausted but kinda happy. Tual’s got this energy, you know? It’s chaotic, but it’s home. I walk out, and the streets are lit up. The night market on Jalan Alun-Alun is buzzing. I grab some street food, and it’s the perfect end to a crazy day. I get home, crash on the couch, and think about it all. Tual, you’re a wild ride, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. What a day!
