Man, what a day! Seriously, Wanaraja, you’ve outdone yourself. I woke up thinking it’d be just another boring Tuesday. Spoiler alert: it was anything but that. So, I’m the head of this lab, right? And I’m all about that science life. But today? Ugh. First off, I’m cruising down Jl. Raya Wanaraja, and the traffic? Don’t even get me started. It’s like everyone decided to take their sweet time. I’m sitting there, tapping my fingers on the steering wheel, thinking, “C’mon, people! We got science to do!” Finally, I get to the lab, and guess what? My assistant, Rina, is late. Like, seriously late. I’m pacing around, trying to channel my inner zen, but I’m just fuming. I mean, how hard is it to set an alarm? But then she rolls in, all flustered, and I’m like, “What happened? Did you get lost on Jl. Cikuray?” Turns out, she had a flat tire. Classic. But hey, at least she brought me some coffee. I can’t stay mad when there’s caffeine involved. So, we dive into our experiments. We’re working on this project about local flora, and let me tell you, the plants in Wanaraja are wild. I mean, have you seen the size of those mangosteen trees? They’re like nature’s skyscrapers. But then, bam! The power goes out. Just like that. I’m standing there, in the dark, and I’m like, “Great, just great.” I can’t even see my hand in front of my face. Rina’s trying to find the emergency lights, and I’m just thinking, “This is how horror movies start.” After what felt like an eternity, the lights flicker back on. I’m relieved, but then I see the data we were working on. Corrupted. Gone. I could feel my blood boiling. I mean, c’mon! Why does this always happen? I’m ready to throw my lab coat out the window. But then, out of nowhere, we hear this commotion outside. Turns out, there’s a street festival on Jl. Siliwangi. I peek out the window, and it’s like a scene from a movie. People dancing, food stalls everywhere, and the smell? Oh man, I could smell the sate from a mile away. So, I’m like, “Rina, let’s take a break.” We head out, and I’m instantly in a better mood. I grab some of that sate, and it’s like a flavor explosion in my mouth. I’m talking about the kind of food that makes you forget your problems. We’re laughing, joking, and I even try to join in on some traditional dance. Spoiler: I have two left feet. But who cares? I’m in Wanaraja, living my best life. After the festival, we head back to the lab. I’m feeling pumped, ready to tackle the data again. But then, I realize I left my laptop at the food stall. Panic mode activated. I sprint back, dodging people like I’m in an obstacle course. Finally, I spot it! My precious laptop, just sitting there. I grab it and feel like I just won the lottery. I’m on cloud nine. We get back to work, and somehow, we manage to recover most of the data. I’m feeling like a rockstar. But then, just as I’m about to celebrate, Rina spills her drink all over my notes. I can’t even. But you know what? I just laugh it off. Because that’s Wanaraja for you. It’s chaotic, it’s messy, but it’s also full of surprises. I wouldn’t trade this day for anything. So, yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but mostly just a wild ride. Wanaraja, you crazy city, I love you.
