Man, what a day in Weleri! Seriously, I’m still reeling from it. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit up Jl. Raya Weleri for some breakfast. You know, the usual – nasi goreng and kopi. But the place was packed! Like, I’m talking standing-room-only. I’m just trying to enjoy my meal, but the waiter’s all over the place. I mean, c’mon, dude, I’m starving here! Finally, I get my food, and it’s cold. Cold! I’m like, “What is this, a freezer?” After that, I decide to stroll down Jl. Diponegoro. Beautiful street, but man, the traffic! It’s like a never-ending parade of motorbikes and cars. I swear, I saw a guy on a bike with a whole goat strapped to the back. A GOAT! I’m just standing there, mouth agape, thinking, “Is this normal?” Apparently, it is. Weleri, you wild! So, I’m walking, trying to shake off the breakfast fiasco, when I bump into this street vendor selling all kinds of snacks. I grab some keripik, and let me tell you, it was the best decision ever. Crunchy, spicy, just the right amount of salty. I’m munching away, feeling good, when suddenly, it starts pouring. Like, outta nowhere! I’m soaked in seconds. Thanks, Weleri weather. I duck into a little warung on Jl. Pahlawan, hoping to wait it out. The owner’s this sweet old lady, and she’s like, “You want some tea?” I’m like, “Yes, please!” She brings me this steaming cup, and it’s like a hug in a mug. I’m feeling all warm and fuzzy, and then BAM! The power goes out. Classic Weleri, right? Now I’m sitting in the dark, sipping my tea, and I can’t help but laugh. I mean, what else can you do? I start chatting with the old lady, and she tells me stories about Weleri back in the day. Apparently, it used to be a quiet little town. Now? It’s a bustling hub. I’m thinking, “Wow, I’m part of this crazy history now.” Once the rain lets up, I head over to the Weleri Market. It’s a sensory overload. Colors, smells, sounds – it’s wild! I’m trying to haggle for some fresh fruits, but I’m not great at it. The vendor’s laughing at me, and I’m like, “Okay, okay, you win!” I end up buying way too much. My bag’s heavy, but I’m feeling accomplished. Then, I decide to check out the local art scene. There’s this gallery on Jl. Soekarno-Hatta. I walk in, and it’s like stepping into another world. The art is vibrant, full of life. I’m chatting with the artists, and they’re super passionate. It’s inspiring, you know? Makes me wanna create something, anything! But then, I get a call. It’s my boss. Ugh. He’s all like, “We need those economic reports ASAP!” I’m like, “Dude, I’m in Weleri! Can’t you see I’m busy living my best life?” But no, he’s relentless. So, I’m trying to take notes while soaking in the art. Multitasking at its finest, right? As the day winds down, I’m walking back through Jl. Weleri, and I can’t help but feel grateful. Sure, it was chaotic. But it was real. The people, the food, the unexpected moments – that’s what life’s about. I’m exhausted but happy. So, yeah, Weleri, you’ve got my heart. Even if you drive me a little nuts sometimes. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
