Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still reeling from all the craziness in Baqa-el-Gharbiya. Like, where do I even start? So, I woke up late, as usual. Alarm? Nah, who needs that? I rushed outta my place on Al-Mahdi Street, barely had time for coffee. You know that feeling? Like, you’re half awake, and the world’s just spinning? Yeah, that was me. First stop, the market. Oh boy, the hustle and bustle! It’s like a scene from a movie. Vendors shouting, people bargaining, and me just trying to find some fresh veggies. I swear, if I hear “bargain, bargain!” one more time, I might lose it. But hey, I got some killer tomatoes. Worth it, right? Then, I decided to stroll down Al-Salam Street. It’s always packed, but today? It was like a parade! Kids running around, old folks chillin’ on benches, and the smell of street food everywhere. I mean, who can resist that? I grabbed a falafel wrap, and let me tell ya, it was life-changing. Like, I could’ve married that wrap. But then, outta nowhere, this dude bumps into me. I spill my drink all over my shirt. Ugh! I was so mad! Like, come on, man! Can’t you see I’m having a moment here? I gave him the dirtiest look, but he just laughed and walked away. Rude, right? After that, I needed a breather. So, I headed to the park near Al-Nasr Street. It’s my go-to spot when I need to chill. I plopped down on a bench, just watching the world go by. Kids playing, couples arguing, and this one guy trying to impress a girl with his skateboard tricks. Spoiler alert: he fell. Hard. I couldn’t help but laugh. But then, the unexpected hit. I overheard this group talking about a local festival happening tonight. Like, how did I not know about this? I was pumped! I mean, Baqa-el-Gharbiya knows how to throw a party. So, I rushed home, changed, and headed out again. The streets were lit! Al-Mahdi was buzzing with lights and music. I felt like I was in a dream. Food stalls everywhere, people dancing, and the vibe? Just electric. I tried everything. Seriously, everything. From kebabs to kunafa. My stomach was like, “Dude, chill!” But I couldn’t. The energy was contagious. I even joined a dance circle. Yeah, me! I can’t dance to save my life, but who cares? We were all just vibing. But then, the night took a turn. I saw that same dude from earlier. The one who spilled my drink. He was dancing too, and I was like, “Oh no, not again!” But then, he came over and apologized. Like, actually apologized. We ended up laughing about it. Turns out, he’s a local artist. We exchanged numbers, and now I might have a new friend. Crazy, right? As the night wrapped up, I walked home, feeling all sorts of emotions. Happy, surprised, and a bit exhausted. Baqa-el-Gharbiya, you wild! You never fail to keep me on my toes. So yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but wouldn’t trade it for anything. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
