Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I wake up in Beit-Jann, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I’m an accountant. Yeah, I know, super exciting, right? But I love numbers. They don’t lie. Unlike people. Anyway, I’m heading down Al-Mahajir Street, and I’m already late for a meeting. Classic me. I’m dodging kids on bikes, old folks with their shopping carts, and a stray cat that looks like it’s plotting world domination. Seriously, that cat was staring me down. So, I finally get to the office on Al-Mansour Street, and guess what? My boss is in a mood. Like, a serious mood. He’s pacing around like a caged lion. I’m thinking, “Dude, chill. It’s just numbers.” But no, he’s all worked up about some tax thing. I mean, who even cares about taxes? Ugh. Then, outta nowhere, my phone buzzes. It’s my buddy Amir. He’s like, “Yo, you gotta check out the new café on Al-Jawlan Street!” I’m like, “Dude, I’m at work!” But he’s persistent. “They got the best knafeh!” Now, I’m torn. Work or knafeh? Tough choice, man. After a long, boring meeting filled with jargon, I finally escape. I race over to that café. It’s called “Knafeh Kingdom” or something. I walk in, and it’s packed! Like, who knew knafeh was so popular? I order a piece, and let me tell you, it was heavenly. I’m talking melt-in-your-mouth goodness. I’m practically drooling. But then, BAM! My phone buzzes again. It’s my mom. She’s like, “You forgot to pick up the groceries!” I’m like, “Mom, I’m busy!” But you know how moms are. Guilt trip central. So, I finish my knafeh, and I’m off to the market on Al-Mahajir again. I get there, and it’s chaos. People everywhere, yelling in Arabic, haggling over prices. I’m just trying to find some tomatoes. I finally grab a bag, and guess what? I drop it. Tomatoes everywhere! I’m standing there, mortified, while people are laughing. Great. Just great. Finally, I get home, and I’m exhausted. I flop on the couch, and my phone buzzes again. It’s Amir. “You coming out tonight?” I’m like, “Dude, I just had the day from hell.” But then he says, “They’re playing live music at the park!” And I’m like, “Fine, I’m in.” So, I head to the park on Al-Mansour. The vibe is lit! Music’s pumping, people are dancing, and I’m just trying to forget my day. I grab a drink, and suddenly, I’m feeling good. I even join in on the dancing. Who knew I had moves? But then, out of nowhere, it starts to rain. Like, seriously? I’m soaked, but I’m laughing. Everyone’s running for cover, but I’m just standing there, embracing the chaos. It’s like a scene from a movie. By the end of the night, I’m drenched but happy. I walk home, thinking about how wild today was. Beit-Jann, man. It’s got its ups and downs, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. So yeah, that was my day. Full of surprises, chaos, and a whole lotta knafeh. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
