Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a sharpener in Binyamina is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. First stop, I’m rollin’ down HaSharon Street. You know, the one with all the cute cafes? I’m thinkin’ coffee, maybe a pastry. But nah, the line’s longer than my to-do list. I’m like, “C’mon people, it’s just coffee!” Finally get my fix, but it’s lukewarm. Ugh, so annoying! Then I head to the market on HaGolan. Man, that place is a treasure trove! Fresh veggies, fruits, and all that good stuff. I’m sharpening knives, scissors, whatever people throw at me. This one dude, he’s got a knife that looks like it’s been through a war. I’m like, “Bro, what have you been cutting?” He just shrugs. Classic. But then, outta nowhere, this lady comes up. She’s all frantic, waving her scissors like they’re a magic wand. “Help! I need these for my art!” I’m like, “Lady, I’m a sharpener, not a magician!” But I take a look, and they’re duller than my ex’s sense of humor. I get ‘em sharp, and she’s over the moon. Like, I just saved her art project or something. Makes me feel all warm inside, ya know? Then, I’m back on the streets, and I see my buddy Yossi. He’s always got some wild story. Today, he’s ranting about how the new pizza place on HaRishon is the best thing since sliced bread. I’m like, “Dude, it’s pizza, not a miracle.” But he drags me in, and wow, he wasn’t lying. The crust is crispy, the toppings are fresh. I’m in heaven! But then, BAM! My phone buzzes. It’s my mom. “You forgot to pick up the laundry!” Oh man, I totally did. So, I’m sprinting down HaNegev, dodging people like I’m in some kind of obstacle course. I get to the laundromat, and of course, it’s packed. I’m standing there, tapping my foot, and this old guy starts chatting me up about the weather. I’m like, “Dude, I’m in a hurry!” But he’s got stories for days. Finally, I grab the laundry and head back. But wait! I see a street performer on HaYarden. He’s playing the guitar, and it’s actually good! I stop for a sec, toss him a shekel, and think, “Man, this is what life’s about.” But then, I get back to my shop, and it’s chaos. People are lined up, and I’m like, “What is this, a knife sharpening convention?” I’m running around, sharpening everything in sight. At one point, I accidentally sharpen a butter knife. Whoops! By the end of the day, I’m exhausted. But I can’t help but smile. Binyamina, with its crazy streets and even crazier people, always keeps me on my toes. I love this place, even when it drives me nuts. So, yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but that’s life, right? Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
