Man, what a day! I’m a forester, right? So, I’m used to chillin’ in the woods, not dealing with city chaos. But today? Oh boy, let me tell ya about my wild ride in Bir-Hadaj. First off, I roll into town, and it’s like, what’s up with all the traffic on HaShalom Street? I mean, c’mon! I’m used to the sound of birds, not honking horns. I’m sittin’ there, just fuming, thinkin’ about how I’d rather be knee-deep in mud than stuck here. Finally, I park my truck near the market on HaRav Kook. The smell of fresh produce hits me. I’m like, “Okay, maybe this ain’t so bad.” I grab some apples, and this old lady starts chatting me up. She’s like, “You know, the trees in Bir-Hadaj are the best!” I’m thinkin’, “Lady, I know trees!” But I smile and nod. Then, outta nowhere, I see this kid on a bike zoom past. He’s got no helmet, just flying down the street. I’m like, “Dude, you’re gonna end up in a tree!” But he just laughs and keeps going. Kids these days, right? So, I’m walkin’ down to the park on Yitzhak Rabin Street, and I see this group of folks having a picnic. They’re blasting music, and I’m feelin’ the vibe. I mean, who doesn’t love a good picnic? But then, I spot a squirrel. This little guy is eyeing their sandwiches like he’s planning a heist. I’m cracking up, thinking, “Squirrel’s got more guts than me!” But then, BAM! Outta nowhere, a dog runs up and scares the squirrel away. I’m like, “Dude, chill!” The dog’s owner is all apologetic, but I’m just laughing. It’s a whole circus out here! After that, I decide to hit up the café on HaTzofim. I need some caffeine, ya know? I order a coffee, and the barista spills it all over the counter. I’m like, “Great, just what I needed!” But she’s super cute, so I can’t even be mad. I just smile and say, “No worries, happens to the best of us.” Then, I sit outside, and this guy starts talking about the history of Bir-Hadaj. Apparently, it’s got roots going back ages. I’m like, “Wow, I didn’t know this place had such a story.” But then he goes on about how the trees here are sacred. I’m thinking, “Dude, I’m a forester! I get it!” But then, I get a call. It’s my buddy from the forest. He’s like, “Dude, we found a rare bird!” I’m like, “What? In Bir-Hadaj?” He’s all excited, and I’m just sitting there, torn between city life and my forest. So, I finish my coffee and head back to my truck. I’m driving down HaGolan, and I see this mural. It’s huge and colorful, and I’m just staring at it. I’m like, “Man, this city’s got some serious art!” But then, I hit a pothole. My truck bounces, and I’m like, “Ugh, come on!” I swear, the roads here are worse than the trails in the woods. Finally, I make it outta the city, and I’m back in the trees. I take a deep breath, and it’s like, “Ahh, this is home.” I’m so glad to be back. So yeah, Bir-Hadaj was a trip. Full of surprises, laughs, and a bit of chaos. But I wouldn’t trade my forest for anything. Just another day in the life of a forester, I guess!
