Man, what a day! Seriously, Deir-Hanna, you wild! I woke up thinking it’d be just another chill day. Boy, was I wrong. So, I hit the streets around 8 AM. The sun was blazing, like, “Hey, I’m here!” I strolled down Al-Mahatta Street, you know, the one with all the cafes. Smelled like fresh za’atar and coffee. My fave combo! I grabbed a manakish from that little spot, Al-Balad. Best in town, no cap. But then, outta nowhere, I see this cat. Not just any cat, but a fluffy, fat one. It’s just chillin’ in the middle of the street like it owns the place. I’m like, “Dude, move!” But nah, it just stares at me. I swear, it was judging my life choices. I laughed, but also got mad. Like, c’mon, I got places to be! So, I finally get past Mr. Fluffball and head to the market on Al-Jalil Street. It’s packed! People everywhere, haggling over veggies and spices. I love the vibe, but it’s chaos. I bump into this old lady. She’s like, “Watch where you’re going!” I’m like, “Sorry, lady! Didn’t see ya!” But honestly, she was moving like a tortoise. Then, I spot my buddy, Samir. He’s always got the latest gossip. He tells me about this wedding happening later. Apparently, it’s gonna be lit! I’m like, “Dude, I’m in!” But then he drops the bomb. It’s at the old church on Al-Muqata’a Street. I’m like, “Wait, isn’t that place haunted?” He just laughs. After that, I decide to hit up the park near the old olive trees. You know, the ones that are like, ancient? I sit there, just chillin’, when this kid runs by, kicking a soccer ball. He totally nails a pigeon! I’m dying! The pigeon just looks at him like, “Really, bro?” But then, outta nowhere, it starts to rain. Like, heavy rain. I’m talking monsoon vibes. I sprint to the nearest shop, which is, of course, a bakery. I grab a bunch of pastries. Gotta love Deir-Hanna’s sweets! I’m stuffing my face when the power goes out. Classic! So, I’m sitting there in the dark, eating my pastries, and I hear this loud crash. I’m like, “What now?” Turns out, it was just some guy dropping a crate of oranges. But man, the way he yelled, you’d think it was the end of the world. Finally, the rain stops, and I head back to the wedding. I’m all soaked, looking like a drowned rat. But whatever, I’m here for the food! The place is buzzing. I see the bride, and she’s stunning. I mean, wow! But then, I trip over my own feet. Classic me, right? Everyone laughs, and I just own it. The night goes on, and the music is pumping. I’m dancing like nobody’s watching. But then, I see Samir again. He’s trying to impress some girls, and it’s just cringy. I can’t help but laugh. As the night wraps up, I’m walking home, thinking about how crazy today was. Deir-Hanna, you never fail to surprise me. From cats judging me to weddings and rain, it’s all part of the ride. I love this place, even with its quirks. So yeah, that was my day. Just another wild adventure in Deir-Hanna. Can’t wait for tomorrow!
