Yo, lemme tell ya about my day in El-ad. Man, it was a wild ride. Like, I woke up thinking it’d be chill, but nah, life had other plans. First off, I hit up the local café on HaShalom St. for my morning fix. You know, the one with the best cappuccino? Yeah, that one. I’m sippin’ my coffee, and boom! This dude spills his drink all over me. Like, seriously? I’m just tryna enjoy my caffeine, and now I’m a walking latte. I was mad, but then I saw his face. He looked so sorry, I couldn’t help but laugh. After that, I decided to stroll down to the park on HaRishonim St. It’s a nice spot, ya know? Trees, benches, the whole vibe. I’m just chillin’, when I see this kid flying a kite. And not just any kite, a massive one shaped like a dragon. I mean, who even does that? I was so impressed, I almost forgot about my coffee disaster. But then, outta nowhere, the wind picks up. The kid’s kite goes crazy, and it crashes right into a tree. I’m like, “Oh no, not the dragon!” The kid starts crying, and I’m like, “C’mon, it’s just a kite!” But I get it, kites are serious business. I felt bad, so I helped him untangle it. We ended up laughing about it. Next, I headed over to the market on HaYarden St. Man, that place is always buzzing. Fresh fruits, veggies, and the best falafel. I’m walking around, and I spot this old lady selling spices. She’s got this crazy energy, like she’s been doing this forever. I buy some za’atar, and she gives me a free sample of her homemade hummus. Best decision ever. But then, I see this guy trying to haggle with her. Like, dude, it’s not a flea market! She’s not budging, and he’s getting all worked up. I’m standing there, thinking, “Bro, just pay the lady!” It was hilarious. He finally storms off, and she just shakes her head, laughing. After that, I needed a break. So, I hit up the beach at the end of HaTzofim St. The sun was shining, and the waves were calling my name. I plopped down on the sand, just soaking it all in. But then, I see this group of teenagers blasting music. Like, come on! I’m tryna relax here! I thought about saying something, but then I remembered how I used to be. So, I just let it slide. They were having fun, and honestly, it was kinda catchy. I found myself bobbing my head. As the day went on, I decided to grab dinner at this little joint on HaGolan St. The owner knows me by now. I always get the shawarma. It’s like a ritual. I walk in, and he’s like, “The usual?” I nod, and he starts prepping it. While I’m waiting, I overhear this couple arguing. They’re going back and forth, and I’m just sitting there, eating my fries, thinking, “Y’all need to chill.” But then, they start laughing. Turns out, it was just a silly misunderstanding. I love that about El-ad. People are real, you know? Finally, I head home, exhausted but happy. I think about all the craziness of the day. From coffee spills to kite crashes, it was a rollercoaster. El-ad, you never fail to surprise me. So yeah, that was my day. Just another adventure in this wild city. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
