OMG, what a day! So, I’m a babysitter, right? And today was just... wow. I mean, I thought I was ready for anything, but Et-Tira threw me some serious curveballs. First off, I got to the house on HaShalom St. at like 8 AM. The sun was shining, birds were chirping, and I was like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. The kids, oh man, they were bouncing off the walls. I swear, I thought I was babysitting a pack of wild kangaroos. So, I’m trying to get them to eat breakfast, right? And they’re like, “No way, we want chocolate!” I’m like, “Dude, it’s 8 AM! You can’t have chocolate for breakfast!” But they just looked at me with those big puppy eyes. Ugh, I caved. Chocolate it is. After breakfast, we hit the streets. We walked down HaGolan St. and I was just trying to keep them from running into traffic. Like, hello, cars everywhere! And then, outta nowhere, one of the kids, little Amir, trips over his own feet and goes face-first into the sidewalk. I’m like, “Oh no, not today!” But he pops up, grinning like a goofball, and says, “I’m okay!” I’m like, “You’re tougher than me, kid.” Then we hit the park on HaRishonim St. It’s a nice spot, lots of trees and stuff. But guess what? It was packed! I mean, who knew everyone in Et-Tira had the same idea? Kids everywhere, parents trying to keep up. I’m just trying to keep my two from getting lost in the crowd. And then, the craziest thing happened. This dog, a huge fluffy thing, runs up to us. I’m talking like a bear with fur. The kids freak out, and I’m like, “Chill, it’s just a dog!” But Amir decides he wants to pet it. So, he runs up, and the dog jumps on him. I’m thinking, “Oh great, now I gotta rescue him from a giant fluffball.” But the dog just licks his face, and Amir is laughing like it’s the best day ever. After the park, we head back home, and I’m feeling pretty good. Like, I survived! But then, we get to the house, and the parents are home early. Surprise! They walk in, and I’m like, “Hey, everything’s cool!” But I’m covered in chocolate smudges, and Amir has grass stains all over his pants. The parents just look at me like, “What happened?” I’m like, “Uh, we had a little adventure.” So, I’m packing up my stuff, and the mom hands me a bottle of water. I’m like, “Thanks, I need this.” But then, she says, “You should come back tomorrow!” And I’m like, “Are you serious? After today?” But honestly, I kinda love it. The chaos, the laughter, the unexpected moments. Et-Tira is wild, man. The streets, the parks, the people. It’s like a big, crazy family. And even though I’m exhausted, I can’t wait for the next adventure. Just maybe, no more chocolate for breakfast. Or at least, not so much!
