Man, what a day! Seriously, Kafr-Qari- (il) is wild. I woke up thinking it’d be chill, ya know? Just another day in the city. But nah, life had other plans. First off, I hit up Al-Mahatta Street for some coffee. You know, the usual spot. The barista, Samir, he’s a legend. But today? He spilled my coffee all over the counter. Like, c’mon, dude! I was ready to throw a fit. But then he gave me a free pastry. So, I guess that’s cool? I mean, who can stay mad when there’s a warm za’atar manakish involved? After that, I decided to stroll down Al-Jazeera Street. It’s got this vibe, man. Street vendors everywhere, selling everything from fresh fruits to random trinkets. I saw this old guy selling these weird-looking spices. I asked him what they were for, and he just laughed. “For life, my friend!” he said. I mean, what does that even mean? But I bought some anyway. Gotta spice up my life, right? Then, outta nowhere, I bumped into my old buddy, Amir. We used to run around Kafr-Qari- like we owned the place. We ended up at the park near Al-Nasr Street, just reminiscing. You know, the good ol’ days. But then he started talking about his new job. Ugh, corporate life. I couldn’t help but roll my eyes. “Dude, you’re selling your soul!” I said. He just laughed it off. But then, the craziest thing happened. A cat, like, a legit stray cat, jumped on my lap while we were sitting. I freaked out! I’m not a cat person, man. Amir thought it was hilarious. He started taking pics. “This is going on Instagram!” he said. I was like, “No way! I’m not getting tagged in that!” But, of course, he did it anyway. After that, I was feeling kinda hungry again. So, I hit up this little shawarma place on Al-Masjid Street. Best shawarma in town, no cap. But the line was insane! I waited forever. And when I finally got my food, I dropped it. Like, faceplant on the ground. I was so mad! I just stood there staring at it like it was the end of the world. But then, this sweet old lady came up to me. She handed me a napkin and said, “Don’t worry, dear. Life’s too short for spilled shawarma.” I couldn’t help but laugh. She was right. So, I just got another one. As the sun started to set, I walked down Al-Huda Street. The sky was all orange and pink. It was beautiful, man. I felt this wave of happiness wash over me. Like, despite all the chaos, Kafr-Qari- has its moments. But then, I heard this loud noise. A bunch of kids were playing soccer in the street. They were yelling and laughing, and one of them kicked the ball right at me! I dodged it like a ninja. But then, I tripped over my own feet and fell. Classic me, right? The kids were rolling on the ground laughing. I just got up and took a bow. Finally, I made my way home, exhausted but happy. Kafr-Qari- (il) is a rollercoaster, man. Full of surprises, laughter, and a bit of chaos. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
