Man, what a day! I woke up in Majd-el-Kurum (il) and thought, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit the streets of Al-Mahatta. You know, the main drag? It’s always buzzing. I’m just trying to grab a coffee at my fave spot, Café Al-Nour. But guess what? The line was longer than my to-do list! I mean, c’mon people, it’s just coffee! While I’m waiting, I see this dude trying to parallel park on Al-Mahatta. He’s all over the place. Like, bro, it’s not rocket science! After five minutes of him struggling, I’m about to lose it. Finally, he gets it right, but he’s so proud, you’d think he just landed a spaceship. I couldn’t help but laugh. So, I finally get my coffee. It’s lukewarm. Ugh! I’m like, “Really? This is how we start the day?” But whatever, I chug it down and head to the market on Al-Mansour. It’s always a vibe there. Fresh fruits, spices, and the best street food. I’m talking shawarma that’ll make you weep. But then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring! Like, seriously? I’m drenched in seconds. I duck into a shop on Al-Jazeera Street. It’s packed with all sorts of random stuff. I’m browsing, trying to stay dry, when I spot this old lady haggling over a pair of sandals. She’s fierce! I mean, she’s got the seller sweating bullets. I’m just standing there, trying not to laugh. After the rain chills out, I decide to hit up the park near Al-Mahabba. It’s usually peaceful, but today? Nope. There’s a bunch of kids playing soccer, and they’re loud! I’m trying to relax, but they’re kicking the ball everywhere. One kid almost nails me! I’m like, “Hey, watch it, Messi!” But then, I see this little girl, maybe five or six, just giggling her head off. She’s chasing after the ball, and it’s the cutest thing ever. I can’t help but smile. Kids have this magic, you know? Later, I’m walking down Al-Salam Street, and I bump into an old friend. We start chatting about life, work, and all that jazz. He’s got this wild idea to start a food truck. I’m like, “Dude, you know how many food trucks are in Majd-el-Kurum?” But he’s all fired up. I love that energy! As the sun sets, I’m feeling kinda reflective. Majd-el-Kurum is wild, man. It’s got its ups and downs, but it’s home. I mean, where else can you get a killer shawarma, almost get hit by a soccer ball, and laugh at a parking fail all in one day? I finally head back, exhausted but happy. I think about all the little moments. The chaos, the laughter, the unexpected. That’s life in Majd-el-Kurum. It’s messy, it’s loud, but it’s real. And honestly? I wouldn’t trade it for anything. So yeah, that was my day. Just another rollercoaster in this crazy city. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
