Man, what a day! I swear, if I had a euro for every crazy thing that happened in Adrano today, I’d be rich. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I’m strolling down Via Roma, coffee in hand, feeling like a boss. But then, BAM! I trip over some cobblestones. Seriously, who thought it was a good idea to make the streets look like a medieval obstacle course? I spill my coffee all over my favorite shirt. Great start, huh? So, I’m fuming, but whatever. I head to the office on Via Garibaldi. You know, the one with the weird statue of that guy nobody remembers? Yeah, that one. I get in, and my boss, Mr. Grumpy Pants, is already on my case. “Where are the reports?” he barks. Dude, chill! I just got here! I finally sit down, and guess what? My computer crashes. Like, really? I’m about to lose my mind. I mean, I’m a financial analyst, not a tech support guy! I’m sweating bullets, trying to recover everything. I can feel my heart racing. Then, outta nowhere, my phone buzzes. It’s my buddy Marco. He’s like, “Dude, you gotta come to the market!” I’m thinking, “What market?” But he’s persistent. So, I grab my stuff and head out. The market on Piazza Umberto is buzzing. I mean, it’s packed! Fresh fruits, veggies, and the smell of arancini wafting through the air. I’m drooling. I spot Marco, and he’s munching on a cannolo like it’s the last one on Earth. I’m like, “Save some for me, man!” We’re chatting, laughing, and then—boom! A street performer starts playing the accordion. It’s like a scene from a movie. I’m feeling all the vibes. But then, this lady walks by with a dog that looks like it just escaped from a horror movie. I’m not kidding. It’s all scruffy and has one eye. I’m trying not to laugh, but I can’t help it. After the market, I head back to the office. I’m feeling good, right? But then, I get a call from a client. They’re freaking out about some investment. I’m like, “Dude, chill! It’s just numbers!” But they’re not having it. I’m trying to calm them down, but inside, I’m like, “Why did I choose this job?” Finally, the day winds down. I’m walking back home, and I pass by the old castle, Castello Normanno. It’s beautiful, but I’m too tired to appreciate it. I just wanna crash. But then, I see a group of kids playing soccer in the street. They’re laughing, having a blast. It hits me—life’s too short to stress over spreadsheets. I get home, plop on the couch, and think about the day. Yeah, it was wild. But it’s Adrano, man. It’s got its quirks, its charm. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Well, maybe for a clean shirt. But that’s it! So, here’s to more crazy days in this beautiful mess of a city. Cheers!
