Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a radio operator in Alba-Adriatica is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m thinkin’, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I grab my coffee from that little café on Viale della Libertà. You know the one? The barista there, Marco, he’s a legend. He knows my order by heart. I’m like, “Yo, Marco, hit me with that double espresso!” He laughs, says, “You need it, buddy!” I mean, who doesn’t need caffeine in this town? So, I’m sippin’ my coffee, feeling good, when I get a call on the radio. It’s my buddy, Luca. He’s on the other side of town, near the beach, and he’s like, “Dude, you won’t believe this!” I’m thinkin’, “What now?” Turns out, there’s a whole flock of seagulls attacking tourists on Lungomare Marconi. Like, seriously? Seagulls? I can’t even. I rush over there, and it’s chaos! People are screaming, flapping their arms, trying to fend off these feathered fiends. I’m cracking up, but also kinda worried. I mean, who knew seagulls could be so aggressive? I grab my radio, and I’m like, “Luca, get the nets! We need to save these tourists!” After that wild scene, I head back to the station. I’m still laughing, but then I get another call. This time, it’s about a car crash on Via Roma. Ugh, just what I needed. I race over, and it’s a mess. Two cars, both smashed up. I’m thinkin’, “Why can’t people just chill and drive?” I start directing traffic, and let me tell ya, it’s like herding cats. People are honking, yelling, and I’m just trying to keep my cool. I’m sweating bullets, but I can’t let ‘em see me freak out. I’m like, “Hey, folks, just follow my lead!” Finally, we get the situation under control. I’m feeling like a hero, but then I hear this loud noise. I turn around, and there’s a parade of scooters zooming down the street. I’m like, “What the heck is going on?” Turns out, it’s some local festival. Great, just what I need—more chaos! But you know what? The vibe is infectious. People are dancing, music is blasting, and I can’t help but smile. I mean, this is Alba-Adriatica, right? The heart of summer! I join in for a bit, doing my best to keep the radio chatter going while also trying to dance. It’s a sight, lemme tell ya. As the sun sets, I’m back at the station, exhausted but happy. I think about how crazy today was. From seagulls to car crashes to a scooter parade, it’s never a dull moment here. I love this town, even when it drives me nuts. So, yeah, that was my day. Just another wild ride in Alba-Adriatica. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
