Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a radio operator in Albano-Sant’Alessandro is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m thinkin’, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I grab my coffee from that little bar on Via Roma. You know the one? The one with the best cappuccino in town. I swear, if I don’t get my fix, I might just turn into a zombie. Anyway, I’m sippin’ my coffee, and boom! My radio crackles to life. “We got a situation on Via Mazzini!” I’m like, “What now?” So, I rush over. Turns out, some dude’s car broke down right in the middle of the street. Classic. Traffic’s backed up all the way to the piazza. I mean, c’mon, man! Can’t you pick a better spot? I’m tryin’ to keep my cool, but inside, I’m fuming. While I’m sorting that mess out, I see this little kid, maybe 7 or 8, trying to sell flowers. He’s got this huge smile, and I’m like, “Kid, you’re gonna make a fortune today!” But then, I see him get all sad when no one buys. Ugh, my heart! So, I buy a bunch of flowers. Yeah, I know, I’m a softie. But hey, it’s Albano-Sant’Alessandro! We gotta support each other, right? After that, I head back to the station, and guess what? More chaos! A cat’s stuck on a roof on Via Garibaldi. Seriously? A cat? I’m like, “What’s next? A dog in a tree?” But I can’t help it. I grab the radio and call for backup. We need the fire department. They show up, and it’s like a scene from a movie. Firefighters climbing ladders, the whole neighborhood watching. And the cat? Just chillin’ like it’s a spa day. Finally, we get the cat down. Everyone cheers! I’m feelin’ like a hero for a sec. But then, I remember I still gotta deal with that traffic mess. So, I’m back on the streets, directing cars like I’m some kind of traffic maestro. Then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring rain. I mean, like, torrential downpour! I’m soaked, my radio’s crackling, and I’m just standing there, thinking, “This is my life.” But you know what? I laugh. I can’t help it. It’s just too ridiculous. By the time I finally get home, I’m exhausted. I flop on my couch, and all I can think about is how crazy this day was. Albano-Sant’Alessandro, man. It’s wild. But I wouldn’t trade it for anything. The people, the streets, the unexpected moments. It’s all part of the ride. So, yeah, that was my day. Full of surprises, a bit of chaos, and a whole lotta heart. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
