Man, what a day! I swear, being a glazier in Albignasego is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m thinkin’, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was anything but. First stop, Via Roma. I’m there, ready to install some fancy glass in this posh café. You know, the one with the outdoor seating? Yeah, that place. I’m all set up, tools in hand, and then bam! A pigeon decides my head is a landing strip. Like, seriously? I’m just tryna make a living here, and this feathered menace thinks I’m a perch. I’m dodging bird poop like it’s a ninja attack. Anyway, I finally get the glass in, and it looks slick. I’m feeling like a rockstar. But then, the owner comes out, all smiles, and says, “Looks great! But can you make it tinted?” I’m like, “Dude, I just put it in!” But whatever, I roll with it. Gotta keep the customers happy, right? So, I head over to Via della Libertà to grab some tinted glass. On the way, I pass by the park. Man, Albignasego’s parks are the best. Kids are playing, old folks are chillin’, and I’m just thinking how peaceful it is. But then, outta nowhere, this kid runs past me, and I trip over his skateboard. I go down hard. Like, faceplant hard. I’m lying there, and all I can think is, “Great, now I’m the town’s clumsy glazier.” Finally, I get to the shop, and the guy behind the counter is all, “What happened to you?” I’m like, “Just a little tumble, no biggie.” But inside, I’m fuming. Why can’t kids just watch where they’re going? After that, I’m back to work, and I get a call from a client on Via San Giovanni. They need a replacement for a broken window. I’m like, “Sure, I’ll be there in 20.” But of course, traffic is a nightmare. I’m stuck behind some slowpoke in a tiny car. I’m yelling at the radio, “C’mon, man! It’s not a Sunday drive!” Finally, I get there, and the window is a mess. Glass everywhere. I’m talking shards, like a glitter bomb exploded. I’m trying to clean it up, and I cut my finger. Great. Just what I needed. Blood and glass don’t mix, folks. But then, this sweet old lady comes out. She’s like, “Oh dear, let me help you!” She hands me a band-aid. I’m thinking, “Wow, this lady’s a lifesaver.” We chat for a bit, and she tells me stories about Albignasego back in the day. It’s kinda heartwarming, you know? After that, I’m feeling a bit better. I finish the job, and the lady’s so grateful. She even offers me a slice of her homemade cake. I’m like, “Heck yeah!” Best cake ever. So, I wrap up my day, and I’m walking back home through Via dei Martiri. The sun’s setting, and the sky is all orange and pink. I’m thinking, “Maybe today wasn’t so bad after all.” But then, I step in a puddle. A big one. My shoes are soaked. I just laugh. Like, what else could go wrong? So yeah, that was my day in Albignasego. Full of ups and downs, but hey, that’s life, right? Just another day in the life of a glazier.
