Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I wake up in Altamura, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I’m late for work. Classic me. I sprint down Via Roma, dodging tourists like I’m in some kinda video game. I mean, c’mon, people! It’s not a museum, it’s a street! Anyway, I finally get to the office, and guess what? The printer’s jammed. Ugh! I’m standing there, wrestling with it like it’s a wild animal. I swear, I almost threw it out the window. Then, my boss, Mr. Rossi, walks in. He’s all smiles, like he didn’t just see me struggling. “Hey, how’s it going?” I’m like, “Oh, you know, just fighting with technology.” He laughs, but I’m not in the mood. I mean, it’s Altamura, not a tech convention! After that, I had to run to the post office on Via Bari. The line was longer than my to-do list. I’m standing there, tapping my foot, thinking about how I could be munching on some of that famous Altamura bread instead. Seriously, have you tried it? It’s like heaven in a loaf. But no, I’m stuck here, waiting for some old dude to find his stamps. Finally, I get my stuff done and head out. I decide to take a stroll through the old town. You know, the historic part with all the cool stone buildings? I’m walking down Via S. Giovanni, and it hits me—this place is beautiful. Like, I could live here forever. The architecture, the vibe, the people. But then, BAM! A pigeon poops on my shoulder. Great. Just great. I’m standing there, trying to wipe it off, and this little kid starts laughing at me. I mean, come on! I’m not a statue! I give him a playful glare, and he just giggles more. Kids, man. They’re ruthless. So, I decide to grab a coffee at this cute café on Piazza Duomo. I order my usual—cappuccino, extra foam. The barista, Maria, knows me too well. She’s like, “Rough day?” I nod, and she hands me my drink with a smile. That’s the thing about Altamura. The people are so warm. It’s like a big family. I sit outside, sipping my coffee, and just watch the world go by. Tourists taking selfies, locals chatting, and I’m just there, soaking it all in. But then, I see this guy trying to parallel park. He’s all over the place, and I’m thinking, “Dude, it’s not rocket science!” After a solid 10 minutes, he finally gets it. The crowd cheers. I’m like, “Really? This is what we’re celebrating?” As the day goes on, I head back to the office. I’m feeling a bit better, you know? But then, I get a call from a client. They’re freaking out about some paperwork. I’m like, “Chill, it’s Altamura, not the end of the world!” But they don’t get it. I spend the next hour calming them down. Finally, I wrap up my day. I’m exhausted but happy. I walk home through the narrow streets, the sun setting behind the cathedral. It’s stunning. I can’t help but smile. Altamura, you crazy little town, you’ve got my heart. So yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Just another wild ride in Altamura!
