Man, what a day! I swear, being a car instructor in Arzignano is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. First off, I had a lesson scheduled with this kid named Marco. He’s a decent driver, but he’s got the attention span of a goldfish. We meet at the roundabout on Via Roma, and I’m already sweating bullets. I mean, it’s a roundabout, not a rocket launch! But Marco? He’s busy checking his phone. I’m like, “Dude, focus! We’re not texting while driving!” Finally, we get rolling. We hit Via Mazzini, and I’m trying to teach him about merging. He’s all over the place, swerving like he’s dodging imaginary potholes. I’m yelling, “Stay in your lane, man!” But he’s just laughing. I can’t even. Then, outta nowhere, this old lady on a bike zooms past us. I swear, she was like a ninja! I nearly lost my mind. I’m like, “Marco, did you see that? She’s got more skills than you!” He just chuckles, and I’m thinking, “Great, now I’m competing with a nonna on wheels.” After that, we head towards the center, and I decide to take him down Corso Italia. Big mistake. It’s market day, and the streets are packed. I’m talking people everywhere, like a scene from a zombie movie. I’m trying to navigate through the chaos, and Marco’s like, “Can I get a gelato after this?” I’m like, “Sure, if we survive!” We finally make it through, and I’m feeling a bit proud. But then, BAM! A pigeon decides to take a dump on my car. I’m fuming! I’m like, “Seriously? This is how my day’s gonna go?” Marco’s cracking up, and I’m just sitting there, contemplating my life choices. Next, we swing by the park on Via San Giovanni. It’s beautiful, right? But I’m too stressed to appreciate it. Kids are playing, couples are picnicking, and I’m just trying to keep my cool. I tell Marco to park, and he’s like, “What’s the worst that could happen?” Famous last words, my friend. He parks like he’s auditioning for a demolition derby. I’m screaming, “Not like that! You’re gonna take out a tree!” He finally gets it right, and I’m just relieved. I need a break. So, we grab that gelato. I get pistachio, he gets chocolate. Life’s little victories, right? But then, as we’re sitting there, I see this guy on a scooter. He’s zooming down Via Garibaldi, and I’m thinking, “Man, I wish I could do that.” But then he hits a bump and goes flying! I’m laughing so hard, I almost drop my gelato. Marco’s like, “Is that what you want to do?” I’m like, “Nah, I prefer my feet on solid ground, thank you very much!” After the gelato break, we head back. I’m feeling a bit better, but then we hit traffic on Via della Repubblica. I’m losing my mind. I’m like, “Why is everyone out today? It’s not a holiday!” Marco’s just chilling, scrolling through his phone again. I’m about to lose it. Finally, we get back to the driving school, and I’m exhausted. I’m like, “Dude, you survived! Congrats!” He’s all smiles, and I’m just thinking, “I need a nap.” So, that was my day in Arzignano. Full of chaos, laughter, and a bit of madness. I love this city, but man, it sure knows how to keep me on my toes!
