Man, what a day! Seriously, Aversa, you’ve got me all twisted up. I woke up this morning, sun shining through my window on Via Roma. Thought, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I’m a potter, right? So I’m all about that clay life. I head to my studio on Via San Lorenzo, ready to throw some pots. But guess what? My kiln decides to throw a tantrum. Like, c’mon! It’s not like I asked for a drama queen today. I’m standing there, staring at it like it’s gonna magically fix itself. Nope. Just a big ol’ pile of disappointment. So, I’m fuming, right? I stomp outta there, and I’m like, “I need coffee.” I hit up this little café on Piazza Municipio. Best espresso in town, no joke. I order my usual, and the barista, Marco, gives me this look. Like, “You okay, bro?” I’m like, “Dude, my kiln’s broken!” He laughs, and I’m like, “Not funny, man!” But then he hands me my coffee, and it’s perfect. I take a sip, and suddenly, life’s a little brighter. But then, as I’m leaving, I trip over a cobblestone. Classic Aversa, right? I’m sprawled out on the ground, coffee flying everywhere. I’m like, “Great, just great.” A couple of old ladies on Via Cesare Battisti see me and start cackling. I mean, I get it, I looked ridiculous. But c’mon, have some compassion! After that, I decide to take a stroll. Aversa’s got these cute little streets, you know? I wander down Via Trento, admiring the old buildings. They’ve got character, like me! But then I see this street performer. He’s playing the accordion, and it’s actually kinda nice. I stop to listen, and for a moment, I forget about my kiln. But then, outta nowhere, this kid runs by and knocks over the performer’s hat. Money goes flying everywhere! I’m like, “Seriously?!” I help the guy pick up his coins, and he’s super grateful. We share a laugh, and I’m like, “Aversa, you’re full of surprises today.” Next, I head to the market on Via Roma. Fresh produce, right? I’m grabbing some tomatoes when I bump into my buddy, Luca. He’s all excited about this pottery exhibition coming up. I’m like, “Dude, I can’t even fire my pots!” He just laughs and says, “You’ll figure it out.” Thanks for the vote of confidence, man. But then, I see this old lady selling handmade ceramics. They’re beautiful! I’m like, “How much?” She says, “For you, my friend, a good price.” I buy a couple, and it feels good. Supporting local artists, you know? Finally, I head back to my studio, feeling a bit better. I’m ready to tackle that kiln again. But guess what? It’s working! Like, what? I’m jumping around like a kid on Christmas. I start throwing clay, and it’s like magic. By the end of the day, I’m exhausted but happy. Aversa, you’re a wild ride. You make me laugh, you make me cry, and you definitely keep me on my toes. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
