Man, what a day in Avigliana! I swear, I thought I was just gonna chill, grab a coffee at that cute little café on Via Roma, but nope! Life had other plans. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be a good day.” I head out, and the first thing I see is this old dude trying to parallel park his Fiat. I mean, c’mon! It’s like watching a tortoise trying to do ballet. I’m standing there, laughing, and he gives me this look like I’m the problem. Chill, man! Anyway, I finally make it to the café. The barista, Marco, is there, and he’s all smiles. I order my usual—cappuccino, extra foam. He’s like, “You and your foam!” I’m like, “Dude, it’s a lifestyle.” We laugh, but then, BAM! The power goes out. Just like that. No coffee, no lights, nada. I’m standing there, half-awake, and I’m like, “Seriously, Avigliana?!” So, I decide to stroll down to the lake. Lago di Avigliana is gorgeous, man. The water’s sparkling, and I’m feeling zen. But then, I see this group of kids throwing rocks. Like, why? Just why? I’m all for fun, but c’mon! I’m about to lose it. I mean, what if they hit someone? Then, outta nowhere, this lady walks by with a dog. Not just any dog—a giant St. Bernard. I’m talking massive! It’s like a fluffy bear on a leash. I’m trying to take a pic, but the dog decides it’s time to shake off water. I’m soaked! I’m laughing, but also kinda mad. Like, really? After that, I hit up Via dei Pini. It’s a nice street, lined with trees. I’m walking, minding my own business, when I bump into my buddy Luca. He’s all hyped about this new pizza place. “Best in town!” he says. I’m like, “Dude, you said that about the last place.” But he drags me there anyway. The pizza? OMG. It’s like a slice of heaven. I’m talking fresh mozzarella, basil, the works. I’m in love. But then, I see the bill. I’m like, “What is this, a mortgage payment?” Luca just laughs. “Welcome to Avigliana, my friend!” So, after stuffing my face, I decide to walk it off. I head to the old castle ruins. Castello di Avigliana is epic! The view from up there? Breathtaking. I’m standing there, feeling all philosophical, when I hear this loud noise. Turns out, it’s a bunch of tourists. They’re taking selfies, yelling, and I’m like, “Guys, it’s a castle, not a concert!” But then, I see this couple getting engaged. Aww, right? I’m all mushy inside. They’re up there, and he’s down on one knee. I’m tearing up, man! It’s like a rom-com moment. I’m thinking, “Maybe love isn’t dead after all.” As the sun sets, I’m walking back through the streets. Via Garibaldi is lit up, and it’s beautiful. I’m feeling all the feels. But then, I trip over a cobblestone. Classic me, right? I’m laughing at myself, thinking, “Only in Avigliana!” Finally, I get home, exhausted but happy. What a rollercoaster! Avigliana, you crazy little town, you’ve got my heart. Can’t wait for tomorrow’s adventures!
