Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being an auctioneer in Barlassina is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m thinkin’, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I had to get to the auction house on Via Roma. Traffic was a nightmare! I mean, c’mon, it’s Barlassina, not Milan! But nooo, everyone and their grandma decided to hit the road at the same time. I’m sittin’ there, honking like a maniac, and I’m like, “Dude, it’s just a little auction, not the World Cup!” Finally, I get there, and the place is packed. I’m talkin’ standing room only. People everywhere, all hyped up. I love the energy, but man, it can be overwhelming. I’m tryin’ to set up my stuff, and this guy, Marco, spills coffee all over my notes. Like, seriously? Who does that? I was ready to throw him out the window. But then I remembered, I need him to bid on my stuff. Ugh! So, the auction kicks off. We’re sellin’ everything from vintage wine to some weird statue that looks like a potato. I’m up there, doin’ my thing, and I see this lady in the front row. She’s got this wild look in her eyes, like she’s ready to bid on anything. I’m thinkin’, “This is gonna be fun.” Then, outta nowhere, she starts bidding on that potato statue! I mean, c’mon! Who wants a potato statue? But she’s all in, and I’m like, “Alright, let’s go!” The bids start flyin’, and I’m just tryin’ to keep up. It’s like a game of ping pong, and I’m the ball. But then, just as I’m about to close the deal, the power goes out! Like, what the heck? Barlassina, you gotta be kidding me! The whole place goes dark, and I’m standin’ there, flashlight in hand, lookin’ like a deer in headlights. People are freakin’ out, and I’m just tryin’ to keep it together. Finally, the lights come back on, and I’m like, “Okay, we’re back in business!” But that lady? She’s gone! Poof! Just like that. I’m left with a room full of confused bidders and a potato statue that nobody wants. After that chaos, I needed a break. So, I hit up my favorite café on Via Garibaldi. Best espresso in town, no joke. I’m sittin’ there, tryin’ to calm my nerves, when I overhear some locals talkin’ about the old church down the street. Apparently, they found some ancient relic or somethin’. I’m like, “Dude, I need to check that out!” So, I finish my coffee, and I’m off to the church. It’s beautiful, man. The architecture is insane. I’m walkin’ around, and I can’t help but feel a little inspired. Barlassina has this vibe, ya know? It’s got history, culture, and a whole lotta character. But then, I see this group of tourists. They’re lost, lookin’ for directions. I’m like, “Hey, I’m a local! I gotcha!” I give ‘em the lowdown on the best spots in town. They’re takin’ pics, laughin’, and I’m feelin’ like a tour guide. It’s a nice change from the auction madness. As the day winds down, I head back to the auction house. I’m exhausted but happy. I mean, Barlassina is wild, but it’s my wild. I love this place, even when it drives me nuts. So, yeah, that was my day. Full of surprises, chaos, and a little bit of magic. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
