Man, what a day! I swear, being a prison warden in Bellusco is like riding a rollercoaster with no seatbelt. You think you’re in for a chill ride, then BAM! You’re upside down, screaming your lungs out. So, I wake up, right? The sun’s barely up, and I’m already dreading the day. Bellusco, this little gem in Lombardy, is usually quiet. But today? Nah, not a chance. I grab my coffee from that tiny café on Via Roma. You know the one? The barista, Marco, always messes up my order. I asked for a cappuccino, and he gives me a macchiato. I’m like, “Dude, I’m not here for a surprise party!” But whatever, I chug it down. I get to the prison, and it’s like a scene from a bad movie. The guards are all on edge. Apparently, some inmates were planning something. Great. Just what I need. I’m thinking, “What’s next? A prison break? A riot? A musical number?” Then, I get a call. It’s from the mayor. He’s all like, “We need to talk about the new security measures.” I’m like, “Sure, let’s chat about how to make my life even more complicated.” I mean, come on! Bellusco’s not exactly a crime hotspot. We’re not in Milan, for crying out loud! Anyway, I head over to the town hall on Piazza della Libertà. It’s a nice spot, but today it feels like a pressure cooker. The mayor’s pacing, and I’m just trying to keep my cool. He’s worried about the upcoming festival. You know, the one where everyone eats too much gelato and pretends they’re not sweating buckets? Yeah, that one. He thinks the prison’s gonna be a target. I’m like, “Dude, if they want gelato, they’ll go to Gelateria Bellusco, not break into a prison!” After that, I’m back at the prison, and guess what? The inmates are acting up. I swear, it’s like they can smell the chaos in the air. I walk into the yard, and there’s this dude, Franco, trying to start a fight over a game of cards. I’m like, “Franco, chill! It’s just a game!” But he’s all fired up. I mean, come on! It’s not like you’re playing for the World Series here! Then, out of nowhere, I hear this loud crash. I turn around, and some guy just knocked over a trash can. I’m thinking, “Really? This is what we’re doing today?” I’m about to lose it. But then, I see a couple of kids from the neighborhood peeking through the fence, laughing their heads off. They’re like, “Look at the prisoners!” And I’m like, “Yeah, kids, welcome to Bellusco’s version of reality TV!” By the end of the day, I’m exhausted. I head back to Via Roma for another coffee. This time, I make sure to double-check my order. I sit outside, watching the world go by. The streets are buzzing, people chatting, kids playing. It’s a small town vibe, you know? And then it hits me. Despite the craziness, I love this place. Bellusco might be a little wild sometimes, but it’s home. I mean, where else can you have a day like this? One minute you’re dealing with inmates, the next you’re laughing with kids. So yeah, that was my day. Just another rollercoaster in Bellusco. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
