Man, what a day! I swear, being a bodyguard in Bibbiano is like being in a freakin' action movie, but without the cool stunts. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m thinkin’, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. First off, I’m on my way to meet my client at Piazza della Libertà. Nice spot, right? But as I’m walking down Via Roma, I see this dude, like, totally losing it. He’s yelling at a pigeon. A pigeon! I mean, c’mon man, it’s just a bird. But then again, it’s Bibbiano, where the unexpected is the norm. I chuckle, but then I realize I’m late. Great start, right? So I finally get to the piazza, and my client, let’s call him Marco, is already there, looking all stressed. He’s got this big event tonight, and he’s sweating bullets. I’m like, “Dude, chill. I got your back.” But inside, I’m thinkin’, “What if something goes down?” You never know in this town. We head over to Via Garibaldi for a quick coffee. I need my caffeine fix, ya know? But as we’re sippin’ our espressos, I spot this sketchy guy lurking around. My instincts kick in. I’m like, “Marco, we gotta bounce.” He’s all, “Why? It’s just a guy.” But I’m not taking any chances. We bolt outta there, and I’m leading him down Via Mazzini. I’m scanning the streets, heart racing. I mean, it’s Bibbiano, but it’s also a small town, so everyone knows everyone. I can’t let anything happen to Marco. He’s got a reputation to uphold, and I’m not about to let some random creep ruin it. Suddenly, I hear a commotion behind us. I turn around, and it’s the same guy from the café, but now he’s got a group of friends. Great. Just what I needed. I’m like, “Marco, run!” We sprint down to the old church, Chiesa di San Giovanni Battista. I’m thinking, “This is it. We’re gonna be in a movie scene.” We duck inside the church, and it’s quiet. Too quiet. I’m trying to catch my breath, and Marco’s freaking out. I’m like, “Dude, just breathe.” But then I hear footsteps outside. My heart’s pounding. I peek out, and there they are, the goons. I’m ready to throw down if I have to. But then, outta nowhere, this old lady walks in. She’s got a basket of bread, and she’s like, “What’s going on, boys?” I’m thinking, “Lady, you have no idea.” But she’s got this fierce look, and the goons back off. I’m like, “Thank you, random bread lady!” After that, we sneak out the back and head to Via della Libertà. I’m still on high alert, but I can’t help but laugh. Like, who knew a bread lady could save the day? Finally, we make it to the venue, and it’s packed. I’m scanning the crowd, making sure everything’s cool. Marco’s finally relaxing, and I’m just glad we made it. But then, I spot the goons again. Seriously? They followed us? I’m ready to throw down, but Marco’s like, “Let’s just ignore them.” I’m like, “Dude, they’re not gonna just disappear.” But he’s all about keeping the peace. So, I’m stuck playing the waiting game. The event goes off without a hitch, and I’m feeling pretty good. I mean, I survived a crazy day in Bibbiano. But as we’re leaving, guess who’s waiting outside? Yup, the goons. I’m like, “Marco, we gotta go!” But he’s all chill, trying to talk it out. I’m thinking, “This is not a negotiation, man!” But somehow, they back off. I’m still not sure how, but I’m not complaining. Finally, I drop Marco off, and I’m just exhausted. I mean, what a rollercoaster! Bibbiano, man. It’s wild. I can’t wait to tell my buddies about the bread lady. So, yeah, that was my day. Just another day in the life of a bodyguard in Bibbiano. Who knew it could be so intense? But hey, I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
