Man, what a day! I woke up in Bitetto, and I swear, I thought it was just gonna be another chill day. But nah, life had other plans. First off, I’m a professional self-determination coach for students, right? So, I’m all about helping these kids figure out their lives. But today? Today was a rollercoaster. So, I’m strolling down Via Roma, just vibin’, when I bump into this kid, Marco. He’s like, “Hey, can you help me decide between art school and engineering?” I’m like, “Dude, that’s a huge leap!” But before I could even dive into it, he gets a call. His mom’s yelling about something. Classic, right? I mean, who doesn’t love a good mom freak-out? 😂 Anyway, I’m trying to give him some solid advice, but then I hear this loud noise. Turns out, it’s a bunch of kids playing soccer in the piazza. Like, come on, guys! Can’t you see I’m trying to be all wise and stuff? But then I see them laughing, and I can’t help but smile. Bitetto’s got this vibe, ya know? The streets are narrow, but the laughter? It echoes everywhere. So, I finally get Marco to chill. We sit on a bench near the Chiesa di San Michele. Beautiful place, by the way. I mean, the architecture is just stunning. But then, outta nowhere, this pigeon decides to drop a bomb right on my shoulder. Ugh! I’m like, “Really, dude? You had to pick me?” I’m trying to wipe it off, and Marco’s just cracking up. Kids, man. They find joy in the weirdest things. After that, I’m like, “Okay, let’s get serious.” We head over to Via Cavour, and I’m trying to explain the importance of following your passion. But then, I see this gelato shop. And not just any gelato, but the one with the pistachio that’s to die for. I’m like, “Hold up, Marco. We need a break.” So, we grab some gelato, and I’m telling him, “See? This is life. You gotta enjoy the little things.” But then, I get a text from my boss. Apparently, there’s a meeting about some new program for students. I’m like, “Great, just what I need.” I’m trying to juggle my phone, the gelato, and my thoughts. It’s chaos! I’m thinking, “Why can’t life just be simple?” So, we finish our gelato, and I’m feeling all pumped. I’m like, “Let’s go back to your art vs. engineering dilemma.” But then, we hear this loud music coming from Via Vittorio Emanuele. It’s a street festival! I’m like, “Dude, we gotta check this out!” We run over, and it’s packed. People dancing, food stalls everywhere, and the smell? Oh man, it’s heavenly. I’m talking arancini, panzerotti, you name it. I’m in food heaven. I grab a panzerotto, and I’m like, “This is what life’s about!” Marco’s eyes are wide, and I can see he’s forgetting all about his dilemma. But then, I see this guy trying to juggle. He’s dropping everything! I’m laughing so hard, I almost choke on my food. I’m thinking, “Dude, maybe you should stick to one thing.” But hey, at least he’s trying, right? As the sun starts to set, I’m feeling all kinds of emotions. Happy, frustrated, and a bit overwhelmed. I mean, Bitetto is beautiful, but it’s also chaotic. I love it! I’m like, “Marco, you see? Life’s messy, but that’s what makes it fun.” Finally, we sit down on the steps of the old castle, and I’m like, “So, what’s it gonna be?” He looks at me, and I can see the spark in his eyes. “I think I wanna do art!” he says. I’m like, “YES! Go for it, man!” And just like that, my day in Bitetto wraps up. Full of surprises, laughter, and a bit of chaos. I’m exhausted but happy. I love this city, its streets, its people. It’s wild, it’s real, and it’s home. Can’t wait for tomorrow!
