Man, what a day! I swear, Boltiere is a wild ride. I woke up early, like, way too early. The sun was barely up, and I was already dreaming of fish. Yeah, I’m a fisherman, but today? Today was somethin’ else. So, I hit the road, cruisin’ down Via Roma. The streets were quiet, just me and the occasional stray cat. I thought, “This is gonna be a chill day.” Ha! Little did I know. I parked near the canal, you know, that spot by the old bridge? Perfect for catchin’ some trout. I cast my line, and boom! First fish in like 10 minutes. I’m feelin’ like a champ. But then, outta nowhere, this dude on a bike zooms by, splashes water all over me. I’m soaked! I yell, “Hey, watch it, man!” But he just laughs and keeps pedalin’. Rude, right? Anyway, I shake it off. I’m back to fishin’. Then, I see this old lady, Nonna Maria, walkin’ her dog down Via Garibaldi. She’s always got the best stories. I wave, and she shouts, “Catch anything, dear?” I’m like, “Just a bike rider’s splash!” We both crack up. Love that lady. But then, the real drama starts. I’m reelin’ in another fish when I hear this loud crash. I look over, and some guy just backed his car into a lamppost on Via Cavour. I mean, c’mon! It’s a straight road! He gets out, lookin’ all confused. I can’t help but laugh. “You good, buddy?” I shout. He just glares at me. After that, I decide to take a break. Grabbed a gelato from that little shop on Piazza della Libertà. Best gelato ever! I got pistachio, of course. I sit on a bench, watchin’ the world go by. Kids runnin’ around, people chattin’. Boltiere’s got this vibe, ya know? It’s chill but always buzzin’. Then, I head back to the canal. I’m thinkin’ I’ll catch a few more fish before callin’ it a day. But guess what? My fishing rod snaps! Just like that! I’m standin’ there, holdin’ a broken rod, feelin’ like a total loser. I’m like, “Really? Today of all days?” I pack up my stuff, head back to the car, and I’m fumin’. But then, I see a group of kids playin’ soccer in the park. They’re havin’ a blast, laughin’ and shoutin’. I can’t help but smile. It’s moments like that that make you forget the bad stuff. On my way home, I drive through Via Dante. The sunset was insane! Orange and pink everywhere. I pull over, snap a pic. Gotta show the fam. I’m thinkin’ maybe today wasn’t so bad after all. Finally, I get home, and my dog, Bacco, is waitin’ by the door. He’s waggin’ his tail like crazy. I scoop him up, and all the stress melts away. I tell him about my day, and he just looks at me like, “Dude, you’re crazy.” So yeah, Boltiere, you got me today. You made me mad, you made me laugh, and you surprised me. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings. Just hopin’ for less bike splashes and more fish!
