Man, what a day! I swear, Bonate-Sotto really knows how to throw a curveball. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I’m cruising down Via Roma, thinking about my first appointment. Gotta help this kid figure out his future. You know, the usual. But then, BAM! I hit a pothole. Like, seriously? Who’s in charge of these roads? I almost spilled my coffee all over my lap. Not cool, Bonate-Sotto, not cool. Anyway, I finally get to the school on Via Garibaldi. Kids everywhere, chaos, and I’m like, “Great, just what I need.” I’m trying to focus, but there’s this kid, Marco, who’s just bouncing off the walls. He’s got energy like a puppy on espresso. I’m trying to talk to him about his dreams, and he’s like, “I wanna be a ninja!” A NINJA! I mean, who doesn’t want to be a ninja, right? But c’mon, Marco, let’s be real. So, I’m trying to steer him towards something a bit more… practical. But he’s not having it. I’m getting frustrated, and then I remember my own dreams. I wanted to be a rockstar. Yeah, me! But here I am, helping kids instead. Life, huh? After that, I head over to the park near the Chiesa di San Giovanni Battista. It’s a nice spot, but today? Ugh. There’s this group of teenagers blasting music. Like, I get it, you’re cool, but can you not? I’m trying to think here! So, I walk over, and I’m like, “Hey, can you turn it down a notch?” And they just look at me like I’m ancient. I mean, I’m not THAT old, right? Then, outta nowhere, this old lady comes up to me. She’s got this fierce look in her eyes. “You tell them, young man!” she says. I’m like, “Whoa, thanks, lady!” She’s my new best friend. We start chatting, and she tells me all about Bonate-Sotto’s history. Did you know it used to be a big deal in the Middle Ages? I mean, I didn’t. I’m learning stuff while trying to keep my sanity. After that, I’m feeling a bit better. I grab a gelato from this little shop on Via Vittorio Emanuele. Best decision ever! I get the pistachio, and it’s like heaven in a cone. I’m sitting there, enjoying my treat, when I see this couple arguing. Like, full-on shouting. I’m thinking, “Dude, not in public!” But then, they start laughing. Turns out, it was just a silly misunderstanding. Love in Bonate-Sotto, I guess? So, I wrap up my day with a meeting at the community center. I’m exhausted, but I’m pumped to help more kids. I’m talking to this girl, Sofia, who wants to be an artist. I’m all about that! But then she says she’s scared of failing. I get it. I mean, who isn’t? But I tell her, “You gotta go for it! Life’s too short!” Finally, I head home, and I’m just reflecting on the day. Bonate-Sotto is wild, man. It’s got its quirks, its potholes, and its crazy kids. But it’s also got heart. I love this place, even when it drives me nuts. So yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but hey, that’s life, right? Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
