Man, what a day! I swear, if I had a euro for every crazy thing that happened in Borgo-Valsugana today, I’d be rich. Like, I could buy a villa on Via Roma or something. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I’m heading to the office on Via Garibaldi, and boom! Traffic jam. Like, seriously? In this tiny town? I’m stuck behind some old dude in a Fiat who’s going 20 in a 50 zone. I’m losing my mind. I’m like, “C’mon, man! We’re not in the Alps here!” Finally, I get to the office, and my boss is already on my case. “Where are the estimates?” he barks. Dude, I just walked in! I’m still trying to shake off the traffic rage. So, I dive into my work, but then my computer crashes. Ugh! I could’ve thrown it out the window. But, you know, I’m an estimator, not a tech support guy. After that, I decide to take a break. I stroll down to the piazza, and it’s packed. Like, everyone’s out enjoying the day. I grab a gelato from that little shop on the corner of Via Cavour. Best gelato ever! I’m talking creamy, dreamy, and just the right amount of sweetness. I’m feeling good again. But then, I see this guy, right? He’s juggling. Like, who juggles in the middle of a piazza? I’m thinking, “Dude, get a real job!” But then he drops a ball, and it rolls right to my feet. I pick it up, and he’s like, “Thanks, mate!” I’m like, “No prob, just don’t quit your day job.” Back to the grind. I’m trying to finish these estimates, but my phone won’t stop buzzing. My buddy Marco is texting me about some party tonight. I’m like, “Dude, I can’t. I’m swamped!” But he keeps sending memes. I can’t help but laugh. Then, outta nowhere, my coworker, Lucia, bursts in. She’s all flustered, talking about a cat stuck in a tree on Via Trento. I’m like, “What? Call the fire department!” But no, she’s convinced we need to save it ourselves. So, we grab a ladder and head out. We get there, and it’s this tiny kitten, just chilling on a branch. I’m like, “Seriously? This is what we’re doing?” But Lucia’s all in. She climbs up, and I’m holding the ladder, praying she doesn’t fall. Finally, she gets the cat, and it’s all cute and fluffy. I’m like, “Great, now we’re cat rescuers.” After that, I’m finally back at my desk, and I’m racing against the clock. I’m typing like a madman, trying to finish these estimates before the end of the day. But then, I realize I forgot to include the materials for a project on Via delle Fosse. I’m like, “Noooo!” I can’t believe I did that. So, I rush to fix it, and just when I think I’m done, my boss walks in. He’s like, “You missed a few things.” I’m ready to scream. But I take a deep breath. “Okay, let’s fix this.” Finally, I submit everything, and it’s like a weight lifted off my shoulders. I’m done! I head out, and the sun’s setting over the mountains. It’s beautiful. I walk down to the river, and it’s so peaceful. I can’t help but smile. Then, I remember Marco’s party. I text him, “I’m in!” I need a drink after this day. I mean, who knew being an estimator could be so wild? So, I head to the party, and it’s a blast. I’m laughing, dancing, and just enjoying life. Borgo-Valsugana, you crazy little town, you never fail to surprise me. What a day!
