Wow, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I woke up in Bussolengo, right? The sun was shining, birds chirping, all that cliché stuff. I thought, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit up Via Roma for my morning coffee. You know, the usual spot, Bar Centrale. I’m all about that cappuccino life. But guess what? They ran out of almond milk! Like, are you kidding me? I mean, who runs out of almond milk in Italy? I was ready to throw a fit. But I just took my regular latte and tried to chill. Then, I had to head over to the community center on Via San Giovanni. I was pumped for this event we organized. It was supposed to be a “Meet Your Neighbors” thing. Sounds cute, right? But no one showed up! I mean, c’mon, Bussolengo! It’s not like I’m asking you to climb Mount Baldo or something. Just come say hi! So, I’m sitting there, feeling like a total loser. I even texted my buddy Marco, like, “Dude, where is everyone?” He replies, “Probably at the gelato shop.” Ugh, typical. Who can resist gelato, especially at Gelateria Artigianale? I mean, I can’t blame them, but still! After that, I decided to take a stroll down Via Mazzini. It’s such a cute street, with all those little shops. I popped into this vintage store, and OMG, I found the most ridiculous pair of sunglasses. They were huge, like, I could’ve used them as a shield. I had to buy them. I mean, who doesn’t need oversized shades in Bussolengo? Then, I bumped into this old lady, Nonna Rosa. She’s a legend around here. Always baking something. She was carrying a tray of her famous torta di mele. I swear, I could smell it from a mile away. She insisted I take a piece. I mean, how could I say no? It was like a slice of heaven. I was happy again! But then, as I was walking back, I saw a bunch of kids playing soccer in the piazza. They were having a blast, but then one of them kicked the ball too hard, and it hit this guy’s car parked on Via Verdi. The guy came out, furious! I thought he was gonna explode. I mean, it’s just a ball, dude! But he was all like, “You kids need to learn respect!” Chill, man! So, I tried to mediate. I’m like, “Hey, it’s just a game!” But he wasn’t having it. I ended up getting into a mini-argument with him. I mean, I’m just a community manager, not a referee! Finally, I decided to call it a day. I headed to my favorite pizzeria, Pizzeria Da Michele. I needed a slice of their margherita to calm my nerves. And let me tell you, it was the best decision ever. The cheese was gooey, the basil fresh. I was in pizza paradise. As I sat there, I thought about the day. It was a rollercoaster, for sure. From coffee drama to soccer fights, and torta di mele to pizza bliss. Bussolengo, you never fail to surprise me. I love this place, even when it drives me nuts. So yeah, that was my day. Just another wild ride in the beautiful chaos of Bussolengo. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
