Man, what a day! I swear, Cadelbosco-di-Sopra is a wild ride sometimes. I’m just a radio operator, right? But today? Phew! Buckle up, folks. So, I roll into work at the station on Via Roma, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m thinkin’, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Yeah, right. First call comes in, and it’s a freakin’ cat stuck in a tree on Via Garibaldi. Like, seriously? A cat? I mean, I love cats, but c’mon! I’m not a firefighter! But hey, I grab my gear and head out. When I get there, there’s this crowd. Like, a whole mob of people. They’re all staring up at this poor furball, meowing like it’s auditioning for a Broadway show. I’m trying to be all professional, but inside I’m cracking up. I mean, it’s just a cat! But then, this old lady starts yelling at me, “Do something!” I’m like, “Lady, I’m not a cat whisperer!” Finally, after what feels like an eternity, some dude with a ladder shows up. He’s all, “I got this!” and climbs up like he’s Spiderman or something. The crowd goes wild! I’m just standing there, shaking my head. Cadelbosco-di-Sopra, man. Only here would a cat rescue turn into a full-on event. After that, I’m back at the station, trying to catch my breath. But nooo, the radio crackles again. This time, it’s a report of a street brawl on Via Matteotti. Great. Just what I needed. I rush over, and it’s like a scene from a bad movie. Two guys are going at it, and I’m thinking, “Really? In the middle of the day?” I step in, trying to break it up. “Hey! Chill out, guys!” But they just look at me like I’m crazy. I mean, I’m just a radio operator, not a referee! Finally, I manage to separate them, and they start arguing about who’s got the best pizza in town. I’m like, “Dude, focus! You’re fighting!” But honestly, I can’t blame them. The pizza here is bomb. So, after that chaos, I’m finally thinking I can catch a break. But nope! I get a call about a parade on Via Fratelli Cervi. A parade? In the middle of the week? I’m intrigued. I head over, and it’s this tiny little thing, but the energy is insane! Kids are dancing, people are laughing, and there’s this guy dressed as a giant pizza slice. I can’t even! I’m standing there, soaking it all in, and I feel this wave of happiness. Cadelbosco-di-Sopra really knows how to throw a party, even if it’s just for a Tuesday. I grab a slice of pizza from a vendor, and it’s like heaven in my mouth. I’m thinking, “This is why I love this place.” But then, just as I’m about to enjoy my slice, my radio buzzes again. It’s a report of a lost dog on Via della Libertà. I’m like, “Are you kidding me?” But I can’t ignore it. So, I finish my pizza (priorities, right?) and head out again. When I get there, it’s a whole scene. A bunch of kids are crying, and I’m like, “Okay, let’s find this pup.” We search high and low, and finally, we spot him! He’s just chilling by the fountain in the piazza, like he owns the place. I swear, that dog has more swagger than I do. I bring him back, and the kids go wild! They’re hugging him, and I’m just standing there, feeling like a hero. Cadelbosco-di-Sopra, man. It’s the little things that make it all worth it. By the end of the day, I’m exhausted but happy. I’ve seen the best and worst of this town, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Cadelbosco-di-Sopra, you crazy little gem, you’ve got my heart. So, yeah, that was my day. Just another Tuesday in the life of a radio operator. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
