Man, what a day! I swear, Campogalliano is wild. I mean, I thought I was just gonna dive, chill, and grab a pizza. But nah, life had other plans. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping. I’m like, “Today’s the day!” I grab my gear, head outta my place on Via Roma. Love that street, it’s got this vibe. You know, the kind that makes you feel alive. First stop, the pool. I’m pumped! But guess what? It’s closed! Like, seriously? I’m standing there, looking like a fool. I’m ready to dive, and they’re like, “Nah, maintenance.” Ugh! I could’ve screamed. So, I decide to wander around. I hit up the local market on Via Garibaldi. Man, the smells! Fresh bread, fruits, and this crazy cheese that smells like feet. But hey, I’m not judging. I grab a slice of focaccia. Best decision ever! Then, I bump into this old dude. He’s like, “You a diver?” I’m like, “Yeah, how’d you know?” He says, “I can tell by your swagger.” I laugh, but inside, I’m like, “What swagger?” Anyway, he starts telling me about the old days. Apparently, Campogalliano used to have this epic diving spot by the river. I’m intrigued. So, I ask him where. He points me to the banks of the Secchia River. I’m like, “Let’s go!” We trek over there, and it’s beautiful. The water’s glistening, and I’m feeling all poetic. But then, I see trash everywhere. Like, come on, people! Can’t we keep it clean? I’m fuming. I start picking up bottles and wrappers. The old dude joins in. We’re like a trash-collecting duo. I’m sweating, but it feels good to do something. After that, I finally get to dive. The water’s cold, but refreshing. I’m flipping and twisting, feeling like a dolphin. Then, I see this fish. It’s huge! I’m talking like, “Where’s my camera?” But of course, I forgot it. Classic me. I come up, and I’m grinning like an idiot. That’s when I hear it. A bunch of kids laughing. They’re on the bank, throwing rocks. I’m like, “Hey, watch it!” But they just laugh harder. I’m torn between being mad and finding it hilarious. Kids, man. Then, outta nowhere, one of them yells, “Jump in!” I’m like, “You serious?” They’re all nodding. So, I do it. I jump in, and they go wild. It’s like I’m a hero or something. After the dive, I’m feeling on top of the world. I head back to Via Roma, ready for that pizza. But guess what? The place is packed! I’m standing there, waiting, and I’m starving. I’m about to lose it. Finally, I get my slice. It’s cheesy, gooey, and everything I wanted. I sit down, and this couple next to me starts arguing. I’m trying to enjoy my pizza, but they’re yelling about who left the toilet seat up. I can’t help but laugh. So, I finish my pizza, and I’m walking home. I’m thinking about the day. It was crazy, emotional, and full of surprises. Campogalliano, you’ve got my heart. I can’t wait to dive again. But next time, I’m bringing my camera. No more missed fish moments! What a day, right? Just another adventure in this wild little town.
