Wow, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I’m a librarian, right? And today in Camucia-Monsigliolo was like a rollercoaster. Buckle up, folks! First off, I woke up late. Classic me. Alarm didn’t go off. I jumped outta bed, threw on whatever I could find. I mean, who needs matching socks? Not me! Rushed outta my apartment on Via Roma, and let me tell ya, the streets were buzzing. Camucia-Monsigliolo is this cute little town, but today? It was like a beehive on caffeine. I hit the library, which is on Via della Libertà. It’s a cozy spot, but today? Ugh. The moment I walked in, I could feel the chaos. Kids everywhere! I swear, they were louder than a rock concert. I love kids, but c’mon! Can we keep it down a notch? I’m trying to organize books here, not host a rave. Then, outta nowhere, this kid—let’s call him “Mini Tornado”—decides to knock over a whole shelf of books. I mean, really? I was so mad! I could feel my blood boiling. I had just organized those! But then, I saw his face. He looked so guilty, like a puppy who just chewed up a shoe. I couldn’t stay mad. I just sighed and helped him pick up the mess. After that, I needed a break. So, I strolled down to Piazza della Repubblica. It’s this lovely square with cafes and all. I grabbed a cappuccino from my fave spot, Bar Centrale. The barista, Marco, is a legend. He always knows my order. I took a sip, and it was like heaven. Seriously, best cappuccino ever! But then, guess what? I bumped into Mrs. Rossi. She’s this sweet old lady who always wants to chat. I love her, but she can talk for hours. I was like, “Hey, Mrs. Rossi!” and she launched into a story about her cat, Gigi. I mean, I love cats, but I didn’t need a full biography. I was trying to escape the library chaos! Finally, I managed to escape and headed back. But on the way, I saw this street performer on Via della Libertà. He was playing the accordion, and it was surprisingly good! I stopped to listen. It was like a mini concert. I even tossed him a euro. I mean, he deserved it! Back at the library, things calmed down a bit. I finally got to shelve some books. But then, the fire alarm went off! Seriously? In the middle of a quiet moment? Everyone freaked out. I was like, “Chill, it’s probably a drill.” But nope, it was real. We all had to evacuate. Standing outside, I was so annoyed. But then, I looked around. The sun was setting over the hills, and it was beautiful. I took a deep breath. Sometimes, you just gotta appreciate the little things, right? After the fire drill, we finally got back inside. I was exhausted but happy. I wrapped up my day, and as I was leaving, I saw Mini Tornado again. He came up to me and said, “Sorry for the mess.” I smiled. Kids can be so sweet sometimes. As I walked home, I thought about how crazy today was. Camucia-Monsigliolo is my home, and even on the wildest days, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I mean, where else can you have a cappuccino, dodge a tornado of kids, and enjoy a sunset all in one day? So yeah, that was my day. Just another day in the life of a librarian in this quirky little town. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
