Man, what a day! I swear, Candelo is wild. I mean, I thought I was just gonna dive and chill, but nah, life had other plans. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be epic!” Little did I know... First off, I hit up Via Roma for breakfast. Best pastries ever! I grab a cornetto and a cappuccino. I’m feeling like a king. But then, bam! I spill coffee all over my shirt. Great start, huh? I’m standing there, looking like a mess, and this old dude just laughs at me. Like, come on, man! I’m already having a rough morning! After that, I head to the dive shop on Via Garibaldi. The owner, Marco, is a legend. He’s got stories for days. He tells me about this hidden spot near the coast. I’m like, “Dude, let’s go!” So, we load up the gear and head out. The drive is nuts! The roads are narrow, and I’m pretty sure we almost hit a goat. Seriously, who lets their goats roam free on the road? Finally, we get to this spot. It’s beautiful! The water is crystal clear, and I’m pumped. I suit up, and as I’m about to dive, I see this massive fish. Like, I’m talking Jaws level big. My heart’s racing. I dive in, and it’s like entering another world. Fish everywhere! I’m swimming around, feeling like Aquaman. But then, outta nowhere, I get tangled in some seaweed. I’m flailing like a maniac. I’m thinking, “This is how I die. Choked by seaweed in Candelo.” But I manage to get free. Phew! I come up for air, and Marco’s cracking up. “You good, bro?” Yeah, just almost became a salad, thanks! After the dive, we hit up this little trattoria on Via della Libertà. The food is to die for! I order pasta, and it’s like a flavor explosion in my mouth. I’m in heaven. But then, the waiter brings me the wrong dish. I’m like, “Uh, I ordered the spaghetti, not the mystery meat.” He just shrugs. I mean, c’mon! So, I’m sitting there, eating my mystery meat, and I start chatting with this local. She’s super cool, tells me about the history of Candelo. Did you know it’s got medieval roots? Like, castles and stuff! I’m all about that history vibe. She even shows me a pic of the old castle on her phone. I’m like, “I need to see this!” After lunch, I decide to explore. I wander through the cobblestone streets, and it’s like stepping back in time. I find myself on Via Cavour, and there’s this cute little shop selling handmade crafts. I pick up a bracelet for my sister. She’s gonna love it! But then, I get lost. Like, really lost. I’m wandering around, and I’m starting to panic. I’m thinking, “Great, I’m gonna be the tourist who gets lost in Candelo.” Finally, I find my way back to the main square. Thank goodness! As the sun sets, the sky turns this amazing shade of orange. I sit on a bench, just soaking it all in. I’m exhausted but happy. Candelo, you’ve been a trip! I can’t believe all the craziness today. From coffee spills to seaweed tangles, it’s been a rollercoaster. I head back to my place, and I’m just smiling. This city, man. It’s got a vibe. I can’t wait to come back and dive again. But next time, I’m bringing a bib for the coffee!
