Man, what a day! Seriously, Capua is wild. I woke up thinking it’d be chill, just me and my sketchbook. But nah, the universe had other plans. So, I hit the streets, right? First stop, Via Roma. Love that street! It’s got this vibe, ya know? Old buildings, little cafes. I grab a coffee at this tiny spot called Caffè del Corso. Best espresso ever! But then, boom! My phone dies. Like, really? I’m in the middle of Capua, and my lifeline just goes kaput. I’m wandering around, trying to find a charger. I end up on Via San Francesco. It’s packed! Tourists everywhere, snapping pics of the ancient stuff. I mean, I get it. The Roman amphitheater is epic. But c’mon, people! Watch where you’re walking! I almost tripped over some dude’s selfie stick. Ugh! Then, I see this street performer. He’s playing the accordion, and it’s actually kinda nice. I stop to listen, and suddenly, I’m feeling all the feels. Like, how can music do that? I toss him a couple of euros, and he gives me this huge smile. Made my day, for real. But then, I’m back on my mission. I finally find a shop on Via Martiri. They have chargers! I’m like, “Yes! Finally!” But the guy behind the counter is super grumpy. I mean, dude, it’s just a charger! Chill out! I grab it and bolt outta there. Next, I decide to hit up the Capua Cathedral. It’s stunning! The architecture is insane. I’m sketching away, lost in my world. But then, this kid runs by, knocks my sketchbook right outta my hands! I’m like, “Noooo!” It’s my baby! I chase after him, and he just laughs. Kids, man. They’re wild. After that chaos, I need a break. I find a bench near the Ponte di Capua. Just chillin’, watching the river flow. It’s peaceful. I start doodling again, and this old man sits next to me. He starts talking about the history of Capua. I’m like, “Wow, this guy knows his stuff!” He tells me about the ancient gladiators and how Capua was a big deal back in the day. I’m soaking it all in. But then, outta nowhere, it starts to rain! Like, seriously? I scramble to cover my sketches. I’m running for cover, laughing at the absurdity of it all. I duck into this little shop on Via San Salvatore. It’s cozy, smells like pastries. I grab a slice of sfogliatella. Heaven! Finally, the rain stops. I step outside, and the streets are glistening. Capua looks magical after the rain. I stroll back to the amphitheater, and it’s lit up. I can’t help but snap a pic. I mean, it’s Instagram gold! As the sun sets, I’m feeling all kinds of emotions. Happy, frustrated, amazed. Capua is a rollercoaster! I head back to my place, exhausted but buzzing. I can’t wait to tell my friends about this day. So yeah, Capua, you’ve got my heart. Even with the chaos, the surprises, and the random kid who ruined my sketch. I’ll be back for sure!
