Man, what a day! Seriously, Caravaggio is wild. I woke up thinking it’d be chill. Nope. Not even close. First off, I’m late. Like, super late. I sprint outta my apartment on Via Roma, dodging tourists like I’m in some kinda video game. You know, the ones where you gotta jump over obstacles? Yeah, that’s me. So, I’m hustlin’ down the street, and I pass this cute little café. The smell of fresh pastries hits me. Ugh, I’m starving! But no time. Gotta get to the office on Via Garibaldi. I swear, if I stop for a cornetto, I’ll never make it. Finally, I get to the office, and guess what? My team’s in chaos. Papers everywhere. I mean, c’mon, guys! We’re not in a tornado! Turns out, our big presentation got moved up. Like, who does that? I’m ready to lose it. But then, I remember the last time we presented. It was a disaster. I mean, I tripped over the projector cord. Classic me, right? So, I try to rally the troops. “C’mon, team! We got this!” But inside, I’m like, “What the heck are we gonna do?” Then, outta nowhere, my buddy Marco shows up. He’s got this wild idea. “Let’s take it to the streets!” he says. I’m like, “What? Are we gonna present in the piazza?” But honestly, it’s kinda genius. Caravaggio’s streets are alive! So, we grab our stuff and head to Piazza della Libertà. It’s packed with people. Street performers, vendors, the whole shebang. I’m nervous, but also kinda pumped. We set up right by the fountain. And then, boom! We start presenting. I’m talking, and people are actually stopping to listen. Like, what? I’m gesturing wildly, trying to keep it together. I see a couple of tourists taking pics. I’m like, “Hey, this is serious business!” But deep down, I’m loving it. Suddenly, this kid runs up. He’s got gelato all over his face. He yells, “You’re awesome!” I’m like, “Thanks, little dude!” It’s the best compliment ever. But then, disaster strikes. My phone buzzes. It’s my boss. “Where are you?” Oh man, I’m sweating bullets. I can’t tell him I’m in the piazza, right? So, I just say, “Traffic!” Classic excuse. After the presentation, we’re all hyped. I mean, we nailed it! I feel like a rockstar. We grab some pizza at Pizzeria Da Michele. Best slice in Caravaggio, no contest. I’m chowing down, and life is good. But then, I remember I left my laptop at the office. Ugh! I’m ready to scream. I can’t believe I did that. So, I rush back, and guess what? The office is locked. Seriously? It’s like the universe is against me today. I’m standing there, staring at the door, when I see this old man on Via Cavour. He’s feeding pigeons. I’m like, “Dude, how do you stay so chill?” He just shrugs. I envy that. Finally, I get a hold of my colleague. She comes to let me in. I grab my laptop, and I’m outta there. But as I’m leaving, I trip on the same projector cord. Classic. So, I head home, exhausted. But you know what? Caravaggio’s got this vibe. The streets, the people, the chaos. It’s a mess, but it’s my mess. And I wouldn’t trade it for anything. What a day, right? I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
