Man, what a day! I swear, Cariati really knows how to throw a curveball. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit up Via Roma for my morning coffee. You know, the good stuff. I’m standing there, waiting for my cappuccino, and this guy in front of me orders a “caffè corretto.” Like, dude, it’s 8 AM! Chill with the fancy drinks! Anyway, I finally get my coffee, and it’s perfect. I take a sip, and boom! It’s like a hug in a cup. I’m feeling good, right? Then I stroll down to the beach. The waves are crashing, and I’m thinking, “Life is good.” But then, outta nowhere, this seagull swoops down and tries to steal my croissant! I’m like, “Hey! That’s MY breakfast!” I wave my arms like a madman, and the bird just looks at me like, “What’s your problem, dude?” I mean, come on! I can’t even enjoy my food in peace! After that, I head over to the old town. Cariati’s got this charm, you know? The narrow streets, the colorful houses, it’s like a postcard. I’m wandering around Via San Francesco, and I bump into this old lady. She’s selling fresh tomatoes, and I’m like, “Yes, please!” I buy a couple, and she starts chatting me up about her garden. I’m nodding along, but honestly, I’m just thinking about how I can’t wait to make a caprese salad. But then, outta nowhere, my phone buzzes. It’s a client. They’re having a meltdown. I’m like, “Can’t a guy enjoy his tomatoes?” But I take the call. It’s a whole thing. Tears, drama, the works. I’m trying to be all professional, but inside I’m like, “Why today? Why now?” After the call, I’m feeling drained. I need a pick-me-up. So, I hit up this gelato place on Via Nazionale. I order pistachio, my fave. The guy behind the counter is super chill, and he gives me a double scoop. I’m like, “You’re my hero!” But then, as I’m walking out, I trip on a cobblestone. Classic me, right? Gelato goes flying! I’m standing there, watching my precious gelato splatter on the ground. I could’ve cried. Now I’m just wandering around, feeling sorry for myself. I end up at the lookout point by the castle. The view is insane! The sea, the hills, everything. I take a deep breath, and for a moment, I forget about the gelato disaster. But then I see a couple taking selfies, and I’m like, “Ugh, get a room!” I mean, can’t people just enjoy the view without documenting every second? As the sun starts to set, I’m feeling a mix of emotions. Happy, sad, angry, you name it. I decide to head back home, but I take a detour through the market on Via Garibaldi. The vibe is electric! People are laughing, chatting, and the smell of fresh bread is everywhere. I grab a loaf, and it’s still warm. Instant mood booster! Finally, I get home, and I’m exhausted. I flop on the couch, and I’m like, “What a day!” I think about all the craziness. The bird, the gelato, the client. It’s wild how one day can be a rollercoaster. But hey, that’s Cariati for ya. Always keeping me on my toes! So, yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Cariati, you crazy little town, you’ve got my heart!
