Man, what a day! Seriously, Carpenedolo, you’ve outdone yourself. I woke up thinking it’d be just another chill day in this little town, but boy, was I wrong. So, I’m a Refractor, right? Sounds fancy, but it’s just a cool way of saying I fix stuff. Glasses, lenses, you name it. Anyway, I hit the streets of Carpenedolo, and it’s like the universe decided to throw me a curveball. First off, I’m walking down Via Roma, and I swear, I see this old dude trying to fix his bike. Like, c’mon man, it’s 2023! Get a new one! But nah, he’s all about that vintage life. I chuckle, but then he looks at me like I’m the crazy one. I mean, I get it, nostalgia and all, but I’m not trying to ride a rusty bike from the 80s. Then, I swing by the market on Piazza Martiri. OMG, the fresh produce! I’m talking tomatoes that look like they just came from heaven. But then, I see this lady arguing with the vendor. She’s like, “These are too expensive!” and he’s like, “Lady, it’s organic!” I’m just standing there, munching on a free sample of cheese, thinking, “You get what you pay for, lady!” After that, I head over to Via Garibaldi. I’m feeling good, right? But then, outta nowhere, it starts pouring. Like, seriously? I didn’t sign up for a water park adventure! I duck into a café, and it’s packed. I’m squished between a couple arguing about... I don’t even know what. Something about who left the toilet seat up. Classic. So, I order a cappuccino, and the barista is this young guy, probably my age, and he’s like, “You want it with extra foam?” I’m like, “Dude, I’m not a diva. Just give me the coffee!” But he laughs and makes it extra foamy anyway. I gotta admit, it was bomb. Then, I get a call from a client. They’re freaking out about their glasses. Apparently, they sat on them. Like, how do you even sit on glasses? I mean, I get it, we all have our moments, but c’mon! So, I rush over to their place on Via Mazzini. When I get there, the door’s wide open. I walk in, and it’s a mess. I’m talking clothes everywhere, pizza boxes stacked like a tower. I’m like, “Dude, you need a maid!” But they’re just sitting there, looking all sheepish. I fix their glasses, and they’re like, “Thanks, you’re a lifesaver!” I’m thinking, “Nah, just a guy with a tool kit.” Finally, I head back home, and I’m exhausted. But then, I see this street performer on Via Cavour. He’s playing the accordion, and it’s actually kinda good. I stop, toss him a couple of euros, and he gives me a nod. It’s those little moments, ya know? As I walk home, I can’t help but think about how Carpenedolo is this weird mix of chaos and charm. One minute you’re dodging raindrops, the next you’re sipping coffee with a side of drama. It’s like a soap opera, but with better food. So yeah, that was my day. Full of surprises, laughter, and a bit of frustration. But hey, that’s life in Carpenedolo for ya! Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
