Man, what a day! I woke up in Carrara-San-Giorgio, and I knew it was gonna be wild. First off, the sun was blazin’ like it was tryin’ to roast me alive. I mean, c’mon, it’s not even summer yet! I grabbed my coffee from that little café on Via Roma. You know the one? The one with the best pastries. I swear, their cornetti are like little bites of heaven. So, I’m sippin’ my coffee, just chillin’, when I hear this loud crash. I look over, and some dude on a scooter just wiped out right in front of me! Like, dude, how do you not see the giant pothole? I almost spit my coffee everywhere. But hey, he got up, laughed it off, and I thought, “What a champ!” Then I decided to stroll down to the marble quarries. Carrara is famous for its marble, right? I mean, Michelangelo used this stuff! I was feelin’ all artsy-fartsy, like I could carve a statue or something. But then I got lost. Like, seriously lost. I took a wrong turn on Via delle Cave. I ended up in this sketchy alley. I was like, “Great, I’m gonna get mugged or something.” But then, outta nowhere, I found this hidden gem of a trattoria. The owner, this old guy named Giovanni, was super friendly. He was like, “You hungry, my friend?” I was like, “Dude, I could eat a horse!” He laughed and served me the best pasta I’ve ever had. I mean, I was practically crying. It was that good. After that, I felt like a million bucks. I walked over to the Piazza Alberica, and it was packed. There was this street performer doing magic tricks. I was like, “No way, this guy is legit!” He pulled a rabbit outta his hat, and I lost it. I mean, who even carries a rabbit around? But then, my day took a turn. I bumped into my ex. Ugh, the drama! We had this awkward convo. I was tryin’ to keep it cool, but inside, I was like, “Why are you here?!” She was all smiles, and I was just trying not to roll my eyes. I decided to escape to the beach. The waves were crashing, and I thought, “Finally, some peace!” But nope! There was a bunch of kids playing soccer, and they kicked the ball right at me. I dodged it like a ninja, but then I tripped over my own feet. Classic me, right? As the sun started to set, I walked along the Lungomare. The view was stunning. The sky was all pink and orange, and I felt this wave of happiness wash over me. I mean, how can you be mad when you’re staring at that? But then, I realized I lost my phone. Panic mode activated! I retraced my steps, running around like a headless chicken. I was about to give up when I spotted it on a bench at the trattoria. Thank you, Giovanni! Finally, I made my way back home, exhausted but happy. Carrara-San-Giorgio, you crazy little town, you never fail to surprise me. I laughed, I cried, I almost got run over by a scooter. What a day! Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
