Man, today was a wild ride. Like, seriously, I didn’t think Casorate-Sempione could throw so much at me in one day. I woke up, coffee in hand, ready to tackle my animation project. But nah, the universe had other plans. First off, I stepped outta my apartment on Via Roma, and boom! It was raining cats and dogs. I mean, come on! I’m an artist, not a duck! So, I sprinted to the bus stop on Via Garibaldi, looking like a drenched rat. And of course, the bus was late. Classic, right? I was standing there, soaked, thinking about how I should’ve just stayed in bed. Finally, the bus rolls up, and it’s packed. Like, sardines in a can packed. I squeezed in, and this dude next to me was blasting some weird techno music on his phone. I’m all for vibes, but c’mon, man! I’m trying to focus on my sketches, not get a headache. So, I get off at the stop near the park, Parco della Maggiore. It’s usually chill, but today? Nah. There was a festival or something. Kids running around, parents yelling, and food stalls everywhere. I’m talking about the smell of fried dough and sausages wafting through the air. My stomach was like, “Feed me!” But I had no time. I had a deadline, people! I finally found a quiet spot under a tree. I pulled out my sketchbook, ready to channel my inner genius. But then, outta nowhere, this little kid runs up to me, all wide-eyed and excited. He’s like, “Can you draw me a dragon?” I mean, how could I say no? So, I whipped out a quick doodle, and his face lit up like it was Christmas. That made me smile, for real. Kids are the best. But then, just as I was getting into my groove, I hear this loud crash. I look up, and some guy on a bike just wiped out right in front of me. I’m talking full-on cartoon fall. He was fine, just a bit embarrassed, but I couldn’t help but laugh. I mean, it was like a scene from a slapstick movie. After that, I decided to take a stroll down Via Cavour. It’s one of my fave streets. The vibe is just right, ya know? Cute cafes, little shops, and the architecture is stunning. I popped into this tiny art supply store. I was in heaven! I grabbed some new markers and a sketchpad. The owner, this sweet old lady, gave me a discount just because I smiled at her. I love Casorate-Sempione! But then, I stepped outside, and guess what? The rain started again. Seriously? I was like, “What did I do to deserve this?” I ducked into a café on Via Mazzini, hoping for a warm drink. I ordered a cappuccino, and while I waited, I overheard this couple arguing. It was so dramatic! I mean, they were throwing around words like “betrayal” and “trust.” I was just sitting there, sipping my coffee, thinking, “Man, my life is way less complicated.” Finally, I headed back home, drenched again, but I was buzzing from all the craziness. I plopped down on my couch, sketchbook in hand, and started drawing. I poured all the chaos of the day into my art. It was messy, but it felt good. So yeah, Casorate-Sempione, you crazy little town, you gave me a day to remember. Full of ups and downs, laughter and chaos. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Just another day in the life of an animation artist, right?
