Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a gardener in Castel-Goffredo is like a rollercoaster ride. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m thinkin’, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I head down Via Roma, and I’m already feelin’ the vibe. Castel-Goffredo is this cute lil’ town, you know? It’s got that old-school charm, but also some modern flair. I’m walkin’ past the old castle ruins, and I’m like, “Dude, I could totally grow some wildflowers here.” But then, bam! I trip over a cobblestone. Classic me, right? So, I finally get to the garden I’m workin’ on. It’s this little patch near Piazza Mazzini. I’m all pumped to plant some new stuff. I got my hands dirty, diggin’ in the soil, feelin’ like a boss. But then, outta nowhere, this old lady starts yellin’ at me. “What are you doin’ to my flowers?” she screams. I’m like, “Lady, I’m just tryin’ to make it pretty!” Turns out, she thought I was messin’ with her prized petunias. I mean, come on! After that drama, I’m tryin’ to chill. I grab a coffee at this little café on Via Garibaldi. Best espresso ever! I’m sippin’ it, and suddenly, I see this kid runnin’ by with a soccer ball. He kicks it, and guess where it lands? Right in my coffee! Ugh! I’m like, “Seriously?!” The kid just laughs and runs off. I’m left with a soggy napkin and a half-empty cup. But then, the day takes a turn. I’m back at the garden, and I spot this family. They’re takin’ pics, and the little girl is just in awe of the flowers. She runs up to me, eyes wide, and says, “You’re like a flower wizard!” I mean, how cute is that? I can’t help but smile. That made my day, for real. Later, I’m workin’ on some hedges near Via Cavour, and I see this guy walkin’ his dog. The dog’s all over the place, and I’m thinkin’, “Dude, control your pup!” But then, the dog runs up to me, and I’m like, “Aww, hey buddy!” He starts diggin’ in the dirt I just planted. I’m like, “Noooo!” But I can’t stay mad. Dogs just have that magic, ya know? As the sun starts settlin’, I’m packin’ up my tools. I look around, and Castel-Goffredo is just beautiful. The colors of the sunset are poppin’ off the old buildings. I’m feelin’ all sorts of emotions. Happy, tired, a bit annoyed, but mostly grateful. I head back home, and I’m thinkin’ about all the craziness. I mean, who knew a day in Castel-Goffredo could be so wild? I love this town, with its quirky streets and even quirkier people. It’s like a little slice of heaven, even with the drama. So yeah, that was my day. Just another day in the life of a gardener in Castel-Goffredo. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
