Man, what a day! I swear, Castel-Volturno is a wild ride. I woke up thinking it’d be just another boring research day. Nope! Not even close. So, I hit the streets, right? First stop, Via Domitiana. It’s like the main drag here. Cars zooming by, people hustling. I’m just trying to grab a coffee at this little café, Bar Centrale. The barista, this dude named Marco, is always super chill. But today? He spills my espresso all over the counter! I’m like, “Dude, c’mon!” But he just laughs it off. I mean, I get it, we all have those days. After that, I head to the beach. Castel Volturno’s got this long stretch of sand, right? It’s beautiful, but man, the litter! I’m talking plastic bottles, wrappers, you name it. Makes me mad. Like, can’t people just throw stuff in the bin? Anyway, I’m walking along the shore, trying to clear my head. The waves are crashing, and I’m thinking, “This is nice.” Then, outta nowhere, I see this group of kids playing soccer. They’re having a blast! I stop to watch, and one of them kicks the ball right at me. I’m like, “Whoa!” I kick it back, and suddenly, I’m in the game. I’m not even good, but it felt awesome. Just pure joy, you know? But then, I get a call from my boss. Ugh. He’s like, “We need that report ASAP!” I’m like, “Dude, I’m in the middle of a soccer match!” But he doesn’t care. So, I rush back to my place on Via Roma, trying to type up this report. I’m stressed, and my brain’s all over the place. I finally finish, and I’m like, “Yes!” But then I realize I forgot to include half the data. Great. Just great. I’m fuming. I mean, how could I be so dumb? Later, I decide to take a break. I stroll down to the market on Via Napoli. It’s packed! Fresh fruits, veggies, and the smell of street food everywhere. I grab a slice of pizza from this little stand. Best pizza ever! Seriously, it’s like a slice of heaven. I’m munching away, feeling a bit better. But then, I see this guy arguing with a vendor. They’re shouting in Italian, and I can’t catch all of it, but it’s intense. I’m thinking, “Man, this is Castel-Volturno for ya.” People are passionate here. As I’m leaving the market, I bump into an old friend, Luca. We start chatting, and he tells me about this new project he’s working on. Sounds super interesting! I’m like, “Dude, let’s collaborate!” We’re both excited, and for a moment, I forget about my stressful day. But then, I check my phone. More emails. Ugh. I’m back to reality. I head home, feeling a mix of emotions. Happy, angry, surprised. Castel-Volturno is a rollercoaster, man. Finally, I crash on my couch. I’m exhausted but grateful. This city, with all its chaos, has a way of keeping life interesting. I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
