Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a bartender in Castelcovati is like riding a rollercoaster blindfolded. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m thinkin’, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I’m walkin’ down Via Roma, and I trip over some cobblestones. Classic Castelcovati, right? These streets are beautiful but a total hazard. I’m like, “Great, just what I needed.” I get to the bar, La Dolce Vita, and it’s already packed. Like, who knew people loved their spritzes this much? So, I’m mixin’ drinks like a madman. A couple of regulars are there—Marco and Lucia. They’re always bickering about the best gelato in town. Marco swears by Gelateria Artigianale, while Lucia’s all about that Gelato di Nonna. I’m just tryin’ to keep the peace and pour drinks. Then, outta nowhere, this guy walks in. He’s got a huge backpack, like he’s ready for a trek up Monte Canto or somethin’. He orders a Negroni, and I’m like, “Dude, you sure you can handle that?” He laughs, says he’s been backpacking through Italy for weeks. I’m thinkin’, “Man, I can barely handle this shift.” But then, the vibe shifts. A group of tourists comes in, and they’re LOUD. Like, I can’t even hear myself think. They’re takin’ selfies, shoutin’ about how they love Castelcovati. I’m like, “Yeah, it’s great, but can you keep it down?” I mean, I love my town, but c’mon! Around 5 PM, things get wild. A couple of locals start a dance-off right in front of the bar. I’m talkin’ full-on tango vs. salsa showdown. It’s hilarious! I’m tryin’ to serve drinks while also not spillin’ my drink from laughin’. I mean, who knew Castelcovati had such hidden talent? But then, just when I think it can’t get crazier, the power goes out. Yup, blackout in the middle of happy hour. I’m like, “Great, just great.” Everyone’s confused, and I’m stuck in the dark, tryin’ to calm people down. “Hey, it’s just a little power outage! We’re still here!” Finally, the lights flicker back on, and I’m relieved. But then, I see Marco and Lucia still bickering. They’re now arguing about who’s gonna pay the bill. I’m like, “Guys, it’s Castelcovati! Can’t we just enjoy the moment?” By the end of the night, I’m exhausted. I clean up, and as I’m walkin’ home down Via Garibaldi, I can’t help but smile. Castelcovati is a wild ride, but it’s MY wild ride. I love this place, even with its crazy cobblestones and loud tourists. So yeah, that was my day. Full of ups and downs, laughter, and a bit of chaos. Just another day in Castelcovati, where every moment is an adventure. Can’t wait to do it all again tomorrow!
