Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a Kvasnik in Castelsardo is no joke. I woke up, sun blazin’ through my window on Via Garibaldi. Thought it was gonna be chill, ya know? But nah, life had other plans. First off, I hit the market at Piazza della Repubblica. The vibe was electric! Fresh fish, fruits, and all that good stuff. I’m tryin’ to haggle with this old dude over some lemons. He’s like, “These are the best in Sardinia!” I’m like, “Yeah, but I’m not payin’ a fortune!” We go back and forth, and I finally snag ‘em for a decent price. Score! 🍋 Then, I’m walkin’ down Via Vittorio Emanuele, and boom! I trip over a cobblestone. Classic me, right? I’m sprawled out like a starfish, and this group of tourists just laughs. I mean, c’mon! I’m a Kvasnik, not a circus act! But hey, I laugh it off. Gotta keep it light, right? Next, I decide to hit the beach at Lu Bagnu. The water’s crystal clear, and I’m thinkin’ this is the life. But then, I see this kid buildin’ a sandcastle. I’m like, “Dude, that’s not a castle, that’s a sand pile!” He looks at me like I’m crazy. Kids these days, man. No imagination! 😂 After that, I grab a gelato at this little shop on Via Roma. Best gelato ever! I’m talkin’ pistachio that makes you wanna dance. I’m sittin’ there, just enjoying life, when suddenly, this seagull swoops down and snatches my cone! Like, what the heck?! I’m left there, mouth agape, like a fool. Seagulls have no chill, I swear. So, I’m fumin’ now. I decide to head to the Castello dei Doria. Climbin’ up those steep steps, I’m huffin’ and puffin’. But when I get to the top? Wow. The view is insane! You can see the whole coast, the turquoise water, the cliffs. I’m feelin’ all philosophical, like, “Life’s good, man.” But then, I remember the gelato. Ugh! On my way down, I bump into this old lady. She’s sellin’ handmade baskets. I’m like, “How much?” She says, “For you, my friend, a special price!” I’m thinkin’, “What’s the catch?” But I buy one anyway. It’s cute, and I can use it for my Kvasnik stuff. Win-win! Later, I’m back at the piazza, and there’s a street performer. He’s playin’ the accordion, and people are dancin’. I can’t help but join in. I’m bustin’ out my best moves, and everyone’s laughin’. It’s a blast! I forget all about the gelato disaster. But then, outta nowhere, it starts to rain. Like, seriously? I’m soaked in seconds. I run for cover under a café awning on Via Mazzini. I’m sittin’ there, drenched, and I can’t help but laugh. This day is a rollercoaster! Finally, I head home, exhausted but happy. Castelsardo, you wild place! You’ve got me feelin’ all the feels. I can’t wait to do it all again tomorrow. Just maybe without the seagulls and the trippin’. But who knows? That’s life, right?
