Man, what a day! Seriously, I’m still buzzing from all the craziness in Castrovillari. Like, where do I even start? So, I woke up late. Classic me, right? I was supposed to meet my crew at Piazza Municipio. But nah, I rolled outta bed like a zombie. Coffee? Yeah, I chugged it like it was water. I mean, who needs sleep when you’ve got caffeine, am I right? Anyway, I finally made it to the piazza. It’s this beautiful square, surrounded by old buildings and all that. The vibe? Super chill. But I was late, and my team was already there, looking at me like I just committed a crime. I swear, I could feel the daggers. Then, we hit the streets. We were scouting for a new mural spot. I had this wild idea to paint something that screams “Castrovillari.” You know, like the mountains in the background, the old castle vibes, and the whole “we’re a small town but we got big dreams” thing. We walked down Via Roma, and OMG, the colors! The buildings are all pastel and stuff. It’s like a candy shop for the eyes. But then, outta nowhere, this pigeon decides to drop a bomb right on my shoulder. Like, really? I’m trying to be artistic here, and you’re ruining my vibe, Mr. Pigeon! I was fuming. I mean, who does that? But then, I saw this little kid laughing his head off. He pointed at me and said, “Look, the pigeon’s got good aim!” I couldn’t help but crack a smile. Kids, man. They see the world differently. So, we kept walking, and I was still a bit salty about the pigeon. We hit up Corso Garibaldi next. It’s this lively street with shops and cafes. I needed a snack, so I grabbed a slice of pizza. And let me tell you, it was heavenly. Like, I could’ve married that pizza. The cheese was gooey, the crust was crispy. Perfection! But then, I got a call from my boss. He was like, “Where’s the design for the mural?” I was like, “Dude, I’m in the middle of a pizza-induced epiphany here!” But he didn’t care. He wanted results. Ugh, the pressure! After that, we headed to the old castle, Castello Normanno. It’s this ancient fortress that overlooks the whole town. The view? Breathtaking. I mean, you can see the mountains, the valleys, everything. It’s like a postcard. I felt inspired. Like, this is what I wanna capture in my art. But then, it started to rain. Of course, right? Just my luck. We ducked into a little café on Via Cavour. It was cozy, and the smell of fresh pastries was intoxicating. I ordered a cappuccino, and it was like a warm hug in a cup. While we were waiting for the rain to stop, I overheard this couple arguing. They were going back and forth, and I was like, “Dude, just chill!” But then, they started laughing. Turns out, they were just messing with each other. I love that about Castrovillari. People are real. They’re passionate. Finally, the rain let up, and we dashed back outside. I was feeling pumped again. We found this perfect wall near the old market, Mercato di Castrovillari. It was a blank canvas, just waiting for my genius. I started sketching, and my team jumped in. We were all vibing, laughing, and just having a blast. I felt like we were creating something magical. But then, outta nowhere, this old man walks by. He stops and stares at our work. I’m thinking, “Oh no, here comes the critique.” But he just smiles and says, “You kids are bringing life back to this town.” I almost cried. Like, that’s what it’s all about, right? As the sun set, the sky turned this gorgeous orange. I stepped back and looked at our mural. It was beautiful. It felt like we captured the spirit of Castrovillari. So, yeah, my day was a rollercoaster. From pigeon poop to pizza perfection, and everything in between. Castrovillari, you’ve got my heart. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
