Man, what a day! Seriously, Cava de' Tirreni, you’ve outdone yourself. I woke up thinking it’d be just another boring Tuesday. Spoiler alert: it was anything but. So, I’m strolling down Via Giuseppe Mazzini, right? The sun’s shining, birds are chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Ha! Famous last words. I stop by my fave café, Bar Pasticceria De Vivo. You know, the one with the killer sfogliatelle? I grab one, and it’s like a hug in pastry form. I’m feeling good, like I can conquer the world. But then, boom! My phone buzzes. It’s my client. “We need to change the whole campaign.” WHAT?! I’m like, “Dude, we just finalized it!” But no, they want something “fresh.” Ugh, fresh? I’m not a fruit vendor! I’m a Creative Director! So, I’m fuming, right? I walk down to Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, trying to cool off. The fountain’s there, splashing water everywhere. I sit on a bench, and this old guy starts chatting me up about the weather. I’m like, “Yeah, it’s nice, but have you seen my stress levels?” He just laughs. Old people, man. They have no idea. Then, I decide to take a walk down Via Roma. It’s packed with people. Tourists everywhere, snapping pics of the Duomo di Cava de' Tirreni. I mean, it’s beautiful and all, but can’t they just take a moment to appreciate it without their phones? I’m rolling my eyes, but then I see this kid, maybe 5 years old, trying to climb the steps. He’s determined, man! I can’t help but smile. Kids have that magic, you know? But then, I trip over a cobblestone. Classic me. I’m sprawled out on the ground, and everyone’s staring. Great. Just great. I laugh it off, but inside, I’m like, “Why, Cava? Why?” After that little fiasco, I head to the local market on Via San Francesco. Fresh produce everywhere! I grab some tomatoes, and the vendor starts haggling with me. I’m like, “Dude, I’m not here for a negotiation. Just give me the tomatoes!” But he’s relentless. I finally just pay him and walk away, shaking my head. Now, I’m feeling a bit better. I decide to hit up the local art gallery. You know, the one near the old monastery? I walk in, and it’s like stepping into another world. The colors, the vibes—totally inspiring. I’m wandering around, and I see this piece that just speaks to me. It’s chaotic, colorful, and messy—kinda like my life today. I snap a pic, thinking, “This is gonna be my new mood board.” But then, I get a call from my client again. “We need to meet ASAP.” Seriously? I’m in the middle of an art epiphany! But I can’t say no. So, I rush over to the meeting spot, which is at a café on Corso Umberto I. I’m sweating bullets, and I walk in, looking like a hot mess. The meeting goes... okay, I guess? They’re still pushing for changes, but I manage to throw in some of my ideas. I’m like, “How about we keep the essence but add a twist?” They nod, and I’m thinking, “Yes! Finally!” After that, I need a drink. I hit up a bar on Via San Giovanni. I order a spritz, and it’s like the universe is finally on my side. I sit outside, watching the sunset over the hills. Cava de' Tirreni is stunning at this hour. The colors are insane! I’m feeling grateful, despite the chaos of the day. As I head home, I can’t help but think about how wild today was. From pastries to meetings, to tripping and art—Cava, you’ve got my heart racing. I love this city, even when it drives me nuts. Here’s to more crazy days ahead!
