Man, what a day! Seriously, I can’t even. So, I wake up in Cecina, right? Sun’s shining, birds chirping, and I’m like, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I’m an admin, so my life is basically spreadsheets and emails. But today? Nah, today was a rollercoaster. I step outta my apartment on Via Roma, and boom! The smell of fresh focaccia hits me. I’m like, “Yesss, breakfast of champions!” But then I remember I’m on a diet. Ugh. So, I grab a coffee instead. I hit up this little café on Viale della Repubblica. The barista, Marco, is always cracking jokes. He’s like, “You want your usual, or are we feeling adventurous today?” I’m like, “Dude, it’s 8 AM. I’m not ready for adventure.” He laughs, and I’m just trying to wake up. Then, I head to work. The office is on Via della Libertà. Sounds fancy, right? But it’s just a regular building. I walk in, and my coworker, Sara, is already on my case. “Did you send that report?” she asks. I’m like, “Chill, I just got here!” But she’s all stressed out. So, I sit down, and my computer decides to be a jerk. It freezes. I’m like, “C’mon, not today!” I’m clicking and tapping, and nothing. I’m about to lose it. Finally, I just restart it. While I’m waiting, I look out the window. The view of the sea from here is amazing. I mean, Cecina’s got that coastline that just makes you forget your problems for a sec. After what feels like an eternity, my computer’s back. I dive into work, and then, BOOM! My phone buzzes. It’s my buddy Luca. He’s like, “Dude, you gotta come to the beach later!” I’m like, “I can’t! I have a million things to do!” But then I think, “What’s life without a little fun?” So, I say yes. Fast forward to lunch. I hit up this place on Via della Storia. They have the best seafood pasta. I’m talking fresh shrimp, clams, the works. I’m in heaven. But then, I spill some sauce on my shirt. Great. Just great. Now I look like a mess. After lunch, I’m back at it. More emails, more reports. But then, the fire alarm goes off. Seriously? In the middle of my workday? Everyone’s freaking out, and I’m just standing there like, “Is this a drill or what?” Turns out, it was a false alarm. Phew! But my heart’s racing. Finally, the workday ends. I’m outta there like a rocket. I meet Luca and a few others at the beach. The sun’s setting, and it’s beautiful. We’re laughing, joking, and I forget all about my crazy day. But then, outta nowhere, a seagull swoops down and steals my sandwich! I’m like, “No way! That’s my dinner!” Everyone’s cracking up, and I’m just standing there, sandwich-less and defeated. As the night goes on, we’re chilling, and I’m just grateful. Cecina’s got this vibe, you know? The sea, the people, the food. It’s chaotic, but it’s home. So, yeah, my day was a wild ride. From coffee to chaos to beach vibes. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Even if a seagull stole my sandwich.
