Man, what a day! Seriously, Cerda (it) is wild. I woke up thinking it’d be chill. Nope! Not even close. First off, I’m in this tiny apartment on Via Roma. Super cute, but the coffee machine? Total disaster. I mean, how hard is it to make coffee? I’m half asleep, and it’s like a horror movie in there. So, I finally get my caffeine fix. I hit the streets, and wow, Cerda is buzzing! The sun’s out, and the vibe is just... electric. I stroll down Corso Umberto, and there’s this street performer. Dude’s playing the accordion like he’s in a Tarantino movie. I’m vibing, right? Then, outta nowhere, this pigeon decides my shoulder is a good landing spot. Ugh! Thanks, buddy. Just what I needed. I shake it off and keep walking. I’m heading towards Piazza della Libertà. It’s a beautiful square, but today? It’s packed! Like, where did all these people come from? I’m dodging tourists left and right. I swear, if one more person stops to take a selfie, I might lose it. Then, I spot this gelato place on Via Garibaldi. I mean, come on! Gelato in Cerda? Yes, please! I get a scoop of pistachio, and it’s like heaven in a cone. I’m feeling good, right? But then, I drop it. Like, seriously? I’m standing there, staring at the ground like it’s the end of the world. After my gelato tragedy, I decide to check out the local market. It’s on Via Cavour, and it’s a feast for the senses. Fresh fruits, veggies, and the smell of bread baking. I’m in foodie paradise! I grab some olives and cheese. I’m feeling fancy, like I’m in a cooking show or something. But then, I overhear this couple arguing. Like, full-on shouting. They’re going at it about... I don’t even know. Something about pasta? I mean, who fights about pasta? I’m trying not to laugh, but it’s hard. I’m just standing there, munching on olives, eavesdropping like it’s my job. After that drama, I head to the old castle. It’s on the hill, and the view? Breathtaking! I’m snapping pics like a tourist. I mean, I’m a local, but whatever. I see the whole city spread out below me. It’s beautiful, but then I realize I’m late for my meeting. Panic mode activated! I sprint down the hill, dodging people like I’m in an obstacle course. I’m sweating, heart racing. I finally make it to the café on Via Vittorio Emanuele. I’m a hot mess, but I’m on time! I sit down, trying to catch my breath. The meeting? Total snooze fest. I’m zoning out, thinking about that gelato I lost. I mean, priorities, right? But then, someone mentions a new project in Cerda. Suddenly, I’m all ears. It’s about improving mental health resources in the city. I’m in! I start throwing out ideas, and people are actually listening. After the meeting, I’m feeling pumped. I head back out into the streets. I’m walking down Via Roma again, and I see that accordion guy. He’s still playing! I toss him a few coins. He gives me a nod, and I feel like a rockstar. As the sun sets, Cerda lights up. It’s magical. I grab a slice of pizza from a corner shop. Best pizza ever! I sit on a bench, watching the world go by. I’m exhausted but happy. What a day! Cerda, you’ve got my heart. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
