Man, what a day! Seriously, Cernusco-sul-Naviglio, you’ve got me all kinds of twisted. Woke up this mornin’ with the sun blarin’ through my window on Via Roma. Thought, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it was NOT chill. First off, I hit up my fave café, Bar Centrale. You know, the one with the killer cappuccinos? Yeah, that place. I’m all set to sip my coffee and vibe, but guess what? They ran outta almond milk. Like, c’mon! Who runs outta almond milk? I mean, I’m not a hipster, but I need my fix! So, I settled for regular milk. Ugh, whatever. Then, I decided to stroll down to the Naviglio Martesana. It’s a beautiful canal, right? But today, it was packed with tourists. I mean, like, where did they all come from? I felt like I was in a human sardine can. I tried to take a pic of the cute little boats, but some dude just walked right in front of me. I was like, “Bro, really?” Anyway, I kept walking, trying to shake off the annoyance. I passed by the old church, Chiesa di San Giovanni Battista. It’s stunning, but I was too frazzled to appreciate it. I mean, I love history and all, but I was just not in the mood. So, I hit up the local market on Via Cavour. Fresh produce, right? I’m all about that life. But then, I saw this lady arguing with the vendor over some tomatoes. Like, chill out, lady! They’re just tomatoes! But she was all like, “These are too ripe!” I couldn’t help but laugh. I mean, who gets that worked up over tomatoes? After that, I needed a break. I found a bench near the park, Parco della Martesana. Sat down, took a deep breath, and just watched the world go by. Kids were playing, dogs were barking, and I was finally starting to relax. But then, outta nowhere, a pigeon decided my shoulder was a good landing spot. I freaked out! Like, “Get off me, dude!” So, I decided to head back home. But on the way, I bumped into an old friend from high school. We hadn’t seen each other in ages! We ended up chatting for like an hour on Via Dante. It was so random but so nice. We laughed about old times, like that one time we got lost in Milan. Classic! But then, just when I thought the day was turning around, I stepped in a puddle. A big one. My shoes were soaked. I was like, “Great, just great!” I mean, can this day get any worse? Finally, I made it back home, exhausted. I flopped on my couch, thinking about how Cernusco-sul-Naviglio can be such a rollercoaster. One minute you’re sippin’ coffee, the next you’re dodging pigeons and stepping in puddles. But hey, that’s life, right? So, here I am, just chillin’ and reflecting. Cernusco, you’re a wild ride, but I wouldn’t trade ya for anything. Even if you do have a weird obsession with tomatoes and pigeons.
