Man, what a day! I’m tellin’ ya, being a swineherd in Cesa is no walk in the park. So, I wake up, right? Sun’s blazin’ through my window on Via Roma. I’m like, “Great, another day of mud and squeals.” But hey, I love my pigs. They’re my buddies, ya know? First thing, I head to the market on Piazza della Libertà. It’s packed! People everywhere, chattin’, laughin’, and I’m just tryin’ to get my fresh bread from that old lady. She’s got the best focaccia, no joke. But then, outta nowhere, this kid bumps into me. I spill my olive oil all over my boots! Ugh! I’m like, “Hey, watch it, kid!” But he just laughs and runs off. Kids these days, right? So, I’m fumin’ but I grab my bread and head to the pig pen. It’s on the outskirts, near the old castle ruins. You know, the ones by Via Castello? Yeah, those. I’m thinkin’ about how cool it’d be to live in a castle instead of a pigsty. But then I remember, pigs are way more fun. I get to the pen, and guess what? One of my pigs, Gino, is missing! I’m like, “No way!” I start runnin’ around, callin’ his name. “Gino! Gino!” I’m freakin’ out. I can’t lose my best pig! He’s like my sidekick. Turns out, Gino decided to take a stroll down Via Garibaldi. I find him munchin’ on some poor guy’s garden. I’m like, “Dude, that’s not cool!” The guy’s yellin’ at me, and I’m tryin’ to wrangle Gino back. It’s a whole scene. I’m covered in dirt, and Gino’s just lookin’ at me like, “What’s the big deal?” Finally, I get him back to the pen. I’m exhausted, but then I see my buddy Marco comin’ over. He’s got a bottle of wine. I’m like, “Now we’re talkin’!” We sit on the steps of the pen, drinkin’ and laughin’ about my pig escapade. But then, outta nowhere, it starts rainin’. I mean, like, torrential downpour! We scramble to get inside, but not before I slip in the mud. Classic! I’m soaked, and Marco’s laughin’ his head off. I can’t help but laugh too. It’s ridiculous. After the rain, the sun comes out again. Cesa looks beautiful, all shiny and fresh. I decide to take a walk down to the river, you know, the one by Lungofiume? It’s peaceful there. I sit on a bench, just chillin’, watchin’ the water flow. I think about life, my pigs, and how crazy today was. Then, I see this street performer. He’s playin’ the accordion, and it’s actually kinda nice. I toss him a couple of coins. He gives me a nod, and I feel good. Like, maybe today wasn’t so bad after all. As I head back home, I can’t help but smile. Cesa is wild, man. Full of surprises. I love it, even when it drives me nuts. I get home, and Gino’s there, snorin’ away. I shake my head, “You little troublemaker.” And that’s a day in the life of a swineherd in Cesa. Full of chaos, laughter, and a whole lotta love for my pigs. Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
