Man, what a day! I woke up in Chiuduno, and let me tell ya, it was a rollercoaster. First off, I live near Via Roma, and the morning sun was blazin’. I thought, “Today’s gonna be chill.” Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. So, I hit up my fave café, Bar Centrale. You know, the one with the best cappuccino? Yeah, that one. I ordered my usual, and the barista, Marco, was like, “You again?” I mean, c’mon, Marco, I’m a regular! Anyway, I took my coffee and headed out to explore. I decided to stroll down Via Garibaldi. It’s a cute street, all cobblestones and little shops. I was vibin’ until I saw this dude trying to sell fake designer bags. Like, really? In Chiuduno? I was so tempted to call him out, but then I thought, “Nah, let him hustle.” I mean, who am I to judge? Then, outta nowhere, it started pouring. I’m talkin’ full-on monsoon. I ducked into a little trattoria on Via Mazzini. The smell of pasta was heavenly. I ordered some gnocchi, and while I was waiting, I overheard this couple arguing. Like, loud. I mean, c’mon, guys, we’re in Chiuduno, not a reality show! After the rain stopped, I decided to check out the park, Parco della Libertà. It’s usually so peaceful, but today? Nah. Kids were screamin’, dogs were barkin’, and I was just tryna chill. I sat on a bench, and this old man next to me started talking about the “good ol’ days.” I nodded along, but honestly, I was just thinkin’ about my next meal. Then, I got a text from my buddy, Luca. He was like, “Let’s hit up the market!” So, I rushed over to Mercato di Chiuduno. It’s always a blast. Fresh fruits, veggies, and the best cheese. I grabbed some pecorino and bumped into my ex. Ugh, awkward! We exchanged some small talk, and I could feel my heart racing. Why do I always run into her? Anyway, I finally met up with Luca. He was late, of course. Typical. We hit up a food stall, and I got this massive arancini. Like, I could barely hold it! We were laughing, joking, and then—bam! A pigeon pooped on my shoulder. I was like, “Great, just great!” Luca couldn’t stop laughing. After that, we decided to walk it off. We wandered down to the old church, Chiesa di San Giovanni Battista. It’s beautiful, but I was too busy trying to get the bird poop off my shirt. Classic Chiuduno moment, right? As the sun started to set, we ended up at a little gelato place on Via Roma. I got pistachio, and it was divine. We sat outside, watching the world go by. I felt so happy, just chillin’ with my best friend, eating gelato, and laughing about the day’s craziness. But then, outta nowhere, this guy on a bike zoomed past and knocked over a whole stand of oranges. I mean, c’mon! The poor vendor was losing it. We helped him pick up the mess, and I felt good about it. Like, “Hey, I’m a decent human being!” Finally, as the stars came out, I headed home. Chiuduno had thrown me a wild day, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. It’s my city, with all its quirks and surprises. I crashed on my bed, exhausted but happy. What a day, man. What a day!
